Workman was generous enough to spare some of his time to look at some specimens I sent him from this season's collections. This includes the new species from Seattle, Washington.
Unidentified Psilocybe species from Seattle

Psilocybe stuntzii (Seattle)

Psilocybe cyanescens (collected from same patch as unidentified psilocybe)
-------------------- Message me for free microscopy services on Psilocybe, Panaeolus, and Gymnopilus species. Looking for wild Panaeolus cinctulus and Panaeolus olivaceus prints.

Those are nice. Could you post or direct me to a thread with some more photos of that unidentified Psilocybe in situ?

Cool man thanks... hey you know how before i said that the unidentified Psilocybe looked a lot like subaeruginosa? Well i know absolutely nill about spores and microscopy, but the micro-characteristics look kind of similar.

.. and some macro shots.

Your Psilocybe species from Seattle looks a lot like P. cyanescens, except it has slightly larger spores and the cap doesn't get as wavy.
My guess is that its the species people are calling cyanofriscosa.

Here are 2 more pictures, they are of low quality though.

If these are in the friscosa complex, I think it would only add to the confusion as to what they really are.
Yes, this was a good season indeed. Cyans, stuntzii, unknown psilocybe and Gymnopilus luteofolius all in one season.
I'm hoping my stuntzii project goes well so that I may have a spring fruiting.
