What impending doom?

dubiousness Dubious compound it is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong. A penalty for possession of a drug/plant should not be more damaging than the drug/plant itself.

Better to get comfortable with the essence of life to expand, grow, change, develop, try experiments, some failed, and just live.
I think of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who just passed. He changed some things. He did not change the essence of life, nor the world itself.

I think this is a common fallacy. There is nothing to save. Think of it this way. If you had been hit and killed by a car at anytime in the past you would not have made this post. Only the very temporary fact that you are still alive makes any of this relevant to you. Soon it will be exactly what it really is. Just a passing bit of electricity in the brain of an animal that no longer exists.

i have a feeling methods of population control may get a lot worse in the future than it already is now. we are killing ourselves slowly because of the stupid shit we consume and surround ourselves with. we could be living a life of much more happiness and longetivity if we just pay more attention to our body, mind and what is going on around us.
what happens happens, i personally don't think we can change what may occur in the not so distant future. but we can inform others of ways to make the best out of the present moment. it may not be a huge change, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.

The first step to saving the world is saving yourself. Try to be more natural.

hey man I'm with you all the way I've been doing it long enough to establish some guidelines too
any type of melt down or freak out or stress or heckling you can accomplish and still feel happy with yourself is helpful

Doesn't "saving the world" usually just mean keeping the world a hospitable place for humans and other species that we like to have around? Whether the world is better as is or as a dessert or as a nuclear holocaust site is just a value judgment. Ask all the microorganisms that thrive in extreme (by our definition) circumstances and I'm sure they'll tell you in plain English that they like things more extreme.
Environmentalism = clinging to your life and to your familiar environment?
