incubate or fruit?

Cased 1 quart of 100% colonized rye 4 days ago. Had a little mycelium growing up in a patch so I cased it tonight. The surface is once again completely covered with a 50/50 vermiculite/peatmoss casing layer. Should I go ahead and put it in the fruiting chamber now or incubate a day or two longer? If I should put it in the fruiting chamber now, do I need to keep light off for a few days?

incubate it until the casing layer is completely colonized. then fruit it.

If I cased it tonight then the layer in question would be called substrate not casing.
So I should go ahead and put it in my fruiting chamber and introduce light 12/12, blood4blood?

yea you need to get your termonolgy right. after your substrate is fully colonized, im talking 110%. then case with 50/50 or whatever, put back into incubation until mycelium just starts to poke through, then patch that (for a better pinset) then you could fruit right away. or put back into incubation for a couple more days then place into fruiting

OR, because the casing layer isnt suppose to be colonized, you could induce pinning on the colonized substrate then, once pins form, case. You will have pins quicker this way and your mycelium wont have expunged energy into colonizing something that shouldnt be.

Once pins form, case? No way. You'll not get anything that way.
