Different trips with dry/wet mushrooms?

What's up, I've never tripped off of magic mushrooms (yet, I'm currently growing), and I was wondering, is there any difference in trips when you take wet or dry mushrooms in terms of strength, visuals, mood, etc? I read that when mushrooms dry, psilocybin is converted to psilocin, so would this conversion change anything during your trip? Also, what would be the advantages and disadvantages of dry mushrooms over wet, and vice versa?

I've heard fresh/wet is a bit more intense and probably a bit more fun, but I've only ever done dried. And psilocybin only converts to psilocin once you ingest the shrooms.

eat them wet for the best experience.. little to no degradation of the psilocybin/psilocin molecules and better trip in my opinion..
dried is easier to eat and you cant always eat them fresh plus it's easier to prepare them dried and you can save up..
i prefer wet, myself.

I thought fresh cubes taste very similar to button mushrooms, maybe a bit worse, but definitely palatable imo. I prefer dry though, that way I can make chocolates or tea.

Thanks for the help everyone. Is it possible to keep fresh mushrooms from drying up by storing them in the fridge or a glass jar?

you can store freshies in the fridge for a little while..
but i doubt it would be the same exact experience as if they were first picked so i just suggest drying them if you're not eating them that day.

What? No, not even. They're more potent wet. You may think that because when people talk about wet vs dry they usually talk about a gram difference. But rest assured they're not eating more, the water content adds weight so it seems like it.

I have heard that wet give stronger trips but never have had them. I get strong enough trips from dry.

It probably has to do with the proportions of active alkaloids and the way they are affected by the drying process.
Eating shrooms fresh is an experience worth having; it's much easier on the body, and much more euphoric, and the fruit itself is so much smoother going down when it's fresh. Overall, it results in a cleaner, less confusing trip. I don't know if I'd say it's stronger per se, but given a choice between fresh and dried mushrooms, the choice is obvious.

You can keep fresh mushrooms *relatively* fresh by placing them in a paper bag (an airtight bag/container will cause them to rot) in the refrigerator (don't put them in the freezer) for up to about 5-7 days. Personally I'd recommend just drying them but I don't know your situation.

The psilocybin doesn't decompose during the drying process, but the psilocin does. Cubies have alot of psilocin per psilocybin, so drying them out would decrease their strength a bit. Blue meanies on the other hand (Copelandia Cyanescens) don't have as much psilocin per psilocybin, but alot of it, so drying them out isn't as damaging to their potency.
