I use 2 to 3 cc's of an LC on Quart jars...

cause I don't wanna throw the moisture content off or get any bacterial contams in my jars.

but...

if you notice that your substrate in your jars is a little dry...

use more.

i use 3cc's per 1/2 gallon jar. This is only because i use 1-12cc syringe for the 4 jars. If I am only inoculataing 2 jars then they get 6cc's, 1 jar 12cc's.

Just depends on how many jars. I pull 12cc of lc per syringe and I use it all.

too many variables!! Temp, grain moisture content, amount of mycelium in lc, mycelium maturity, lc:grain ratio.

This pf jar is 2 days old and has 23 cc of lc in it. It is the top jar.

This jar of grain has 6cc of lc in it. It showed no signs of life 2 days ago and it all changed to mycelium. I should shake it but i am going to watch the mycelium grow

should have seen that coming... lets change the question to, how much LC do you use and how long does it take you?

it is usually less time than spores. I would use 1 cc per hole on a cake.

How long has it been since you knocked up your cakes with the lc that isnt showing signs of life??

it's not that, I havent even hit them up yet. it just took a few weeks last time with spores and I was thinking about speeding up the process. I need to be out of my place by may and was wondering if making an LC was a good way to shave some time off the process.

I was hoping to get one more batch in before the move.

anywhere between a drop to 2cc's per hole will work. I would just go with 1 cc per hole for a lc and 1/4th cc per hole for spore syringe

LC allows for germinated mycellium to inoculate the substrate instead of waiting for the spore to germinate. It shaves time off of the colonization time. I have had myc show within 3 days using LC. LC is also a great way to extend your spore syringe. The dumbest thing I could have ever done was to use 1cc of spore syringe per jar for inoculation. I used 1cc of spore solution to noc up 200 ml of LC solution making my 1cc into 200 ml of LC. I haven't touched my spore syringe since. Saving it for a rainy day.
