Rye: Contamination or Bruising? pics..

A friend of mine has done a handful of rice cake successfully and decided to try his hand at some rye grain. He pressure cooked 5 jars w/ rye and used pillow stuffing as a filter and covered with foil, pressure cooked for about 50 minutes. They were inoculated in a glove box w/ a spore syringe and the tip was heated. He tried keeping the foil off the top for as little as possible. They have been Inoculating for about 3 weeks and were making good progress. The mycelium would grow well in areas and then he would shake them a couple of times (he did this once every 2-3 days about 6-7 times). About 4 days ago he noticed darkish blueish/green spots on some of the jars (mainly jar 1-3) and he did not know whether to throw them out or if they could just be bruising. He thinks that jar 5, maybe jar 4 are good since they are pretty much covered in white and the specs haven't done anything (as far as growing and whatnot) Jar 1 on the other hand looks kind of nasty. He thinks they might be bruising since the last time he shook them was the only time they really required him to hit them up against a hard surface (duct tape)
contamination or bruising? Do any of these look safe to keep or should they be thrown out? Note, Jar 5 has been kept away from the rest since pretty much the beginning.

Looks like trich to me. By the way, you're only supposed to shake once at about 20% colonization. Don't shake again until it's time to spawn to bulk or case. RR

just from that first pic i'm almost positive it's a contam.
i second RR's trich suggestion..
be careful with them when you dump them/throw them out.
it's strange that it showed up at this stage of colonization..

opposing views, great. Lol. he's going to throw jar #1 away for sure. I tried searching for pictures of bruising but couldn't find any, which is why I made the post. For future reference, will excessive shaking help spread the contamination?
He didn't know that you only had to shake the jar like twice throughout the whole thing, but did it that often because it took over a week to see any sign of mycelium.
RR, do any of them look salvageable? or should he just throw them all out and start over. he'll probably use pillow stuffing again as a filter. he cut the time in pressure cooker short (I've heard 60-90 minutes is best for quart jars) since he does not have one of those things that lifts the jars off the bottom, he used a rag and started smelling something burning and when he took them out, the bottom of the rag was completely black, but he was afraid to put too much water in the pressure cooker.
btw, the pictures are in order. Jar 1 is at the very top and 5 is at the bottom.

pc and then soak again... f that!
Something inside me keeps telling me #4 or 5 are salvageable, it's heartbreaking. I might post pics of those in 1 or 2 days... is there a risk of spreading the contamination by keeping the jars around even though they have pillow stuffing, foil and are in an isolated box? they only get taken out to be looked at.

Guys, if you have a few kernels with visible trich it can still be used, depending on how well they are separated it can still be spawned.
Open in a glove box and remove the healthy kernels from the potentially contaminated ones, give everything a quick dip in H2o2 and spawn. Worked fine for me to revive the Lizard King.
