I'm doing the same today.

Despite the fact that I think it's futile. My brother convinced me to vote for him.

I don't trust any of them, honestly. I see him as the lesser of the evils. How can I be expected to just trust some stranger's word. I'm sick of seeing the types of people in office that we've had. We need an old wise philosopher to lead us.

Our forefathers dug a deep hole for us.

just cast my vote for paul, feels good just supporting a man like him, even if he has a chance of winning or not

1) i will never vote for a clinton or bush again.
2) obama wont give anything he would specifically do. i dont like that
3) i dont like any of the republican fore-runners

that left me with ron paul. even though i think he cant win, i couldnt in good conscience vote for anyone else.

Nah, I don't take him seriously.  The more radical the ideas, the more detailed the plans need to be.  He needs to work on that imo.

Anyways, the Libs can get a lot more done through congress than they could through a president.

i could vote for obama, but he wont tell me what he wants to do.

mr obama, what do you plan on doing if elected? "i plan to make america a better place."

how will you do that, mr obama? "i will do that by making america stronger, both domestically and also internationally."

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, WTF WILL YOU DO IF ELECTED?!?!? "motorcade is leaving, we'll see you in the white house." :patended smile and hand wave:

etc

honestly, if he would just tell me what he plans on doing, specifically, i could vote for him.

I am registered as independent and in my state, independents cannot vote in primaries.

I voted for Obama.

Somehow many at the shroomery have convinced themselves that Ron Paul is the candidate that could save America, but even besides his inelectability (real word?), he isn't the best candidate. His ideas are radical and half baked, although I do like his policy of non-intervention.

Honestly it's not even about which platform you agree with more. When it comes to being in office non of these people are actually going to do exactly what they said they would. A good president will adapt to the circumstances, regardless of whether the correct decision is in accordance with their platform.

For instance, Ron Paul says he will never raise taxes. That's fucking stupid. Sometimes you need to raise taxes. Even Ronald Regan raised taxes in '86, and he's the great conservative icon of trickle down economics.

I don't want any party name attached to my name, and I don't believe in any one candidate enough to go through that ten minute process.
