Read every cyan thread, still have questions for first trial

Im getting ready to do pan cyans for the first time and after reading every cyan thread in the archives ive ran over a few conflicting recommendations, but this is the gist of a perceptual consensus: [spawning to hpoo w/ colonized grain, 50/50 casing]- [the following differs from cubensis]
spawn then add casing during the same night. crumple wax paper then lay over casing untill pins are well developed. change out paper every other day. Mist every day until pins are formed. Incubate untill casing is fully colonized. Once pins are established, drop humidity [70-80%] and provide constant FAE.
Some experienced person recommended that to drop humidity leave the lid open and fan it manually, yet it was stated repeated that cyans are quite vulnerable to contaminations. What is the best way to provide low humidity, high FAE, and all without dropping the temperature? Anything else i should know or do?

Just use less perlite, so it doesn't store too much water.

high FAE
Fan! Either manually (if you have the time), or automatically with an electrical fan. Let it run a few times a day.

When you do it with less perlite there is no reason for the FC to be cooler.

I forgot to mention this is a monotub so there is no room for perilite.
What about doing a coolmist into it with about 6 1" open holes around the perimeter of the box? Ive tried it before with just one open hole and although the hygrometer read low 90's the casing ended up drying, so maybe 6 holes would equalize somewhat with the room RH (~50%)?

Pans fruit in relatively the same conditions as Cubensis, they just like temperature a little warmer. Keep your temps in the high 70's. They also like HIGH humidity with PLENTY of FAE.
Keep your substrate depth 2 inches or less with a peat based casing layer no more than 1/4" deep.

That is flat out wrong.
Maintain high humidity and around 80F from initiation right through harvest. Substrate depth should be NO more than 2" and keep the casing layer to 1/4". RR

Rogerrabbit, i think it was you who suggested to use a layer of wax paper to bring the RH up to 100%. While that seems like a great idea for the pre-pinning stages, i read a number of times that they wont pin or will overlay in 100% humidity, yet you suggested to leave it on till the pins push it out of the way. What should i do?
Also you mentioned to change the wax paper out every other day, why is that?

Exactly what he said to do.

With enough FAE they won’t abort at near 100% humidity. Mist heavily before pins appear, after you have pins only mist lightly or not at all. I never stop misting …
And FYI, I only ever changed the wax paper if it gets soggy and flattens out. Now that I use a trellis I don’t replace it at all.

ok, would constant FAE from a coolmist be ok? I intend to use my coolmist for FAE i just cant figure out whether i should do the 15/75 cycle ive been doing or just leave it on all the time, but i guess if its going to be covered with paper then i dont have to worry about drying it out right?

You could just leave your green house unzipped if you’re worried about FAE.

You've probably also read that 86F is best for cubes, that they require no light, that coir isn't a substrate, and that FAE is not important. I've suggested above how to have success. I can't respond to all the disinformation that gets posted.
Change the wax paper out every day or two to prevent it getting wet and harboring contaminants. The pins will push it out of the way as they grow. Don't worry about overlay with copes, and especially don't listen to those who would say to lower the humidity. RR

oh ok, i guess ill just leave the coolmist on 24/7 since the moving air wont be touching the casing. If theres anything ive learned over the years is not to question the methods of those who know more than me
