i was thinking that i could simply put them in a blender and store them in everclear or just water instead of drying them out.
assuming i keep them cool and dark should they stay edible and potent?

Not sure about alcohol for storage, but water would just make em turn to shit I'd imagine. Why don't you want to dry them out? Just stick them in front of a fan for a few days to a week and they'll be dry enough for storage. I'm sure you have a fan around the house somewhere.

im not a fan of the fan..method. i feel like keeping them out that long to dry is definatly affecting their potency. plus id like to try something a little differnt
i figured as much for storing in water.

how about buy a dehydrator, or set up a desiccant chamber?
there's other methods than just using a fan

yeah, I always just figured a fans the most efficient, you don't have to buy a bunch of desiccant. I normally put it in a fan in the dark for a couple days then put it in a desiccant chamber. I've never noticed a loss of potency, though I've only eaten them dried w/o a fan, and/or fresh on a few occasions.
All the same though, I never really cared if I had slightly degraded potency, I can always eat more. It's not like I gotta pay for them.

yea im familiar with all the traditional methods dehydrators, dehumidifiers, dessicants and the like. but i was just wanting to try something new
when i do this (and im going to unless someone says the everclear is a bad idea) im gonna have a few batches, some just shrooms some with salvia, HBWR seeds, and other fun stuff...

well if I had to guess I'd say the everclear is a bad idea too, you'll just end up with a bunch of slimy mush. I don't see why the alcohol would preserve the mushrooms all that well either, and who wants to have to drink a bunch of alcohol with their mushrooms?

well itd be more like a tonic, id get it so you only have to drink a half a glass or less for a goood trip then simply mix with orange juice
im guessing seeing its in liquid form itd be absorbed a lot faster, plus the mellowing benefits of drinking alcohol with the euphoric benefits of orange juice
imo i really dont think there a better way to consume them
and while a pulpy mushroom drink doesnt sound very appetizing id take it over having to chew them and taste em. dried shrooms are like chewin on funky thin wood chips to me

Storing in alcohol ought to be fine. Depending on how concentrated the psiloc(yb)in is, some of it may precipitate out as crystals, but I'm pretty sure that storing the goods in alcohol ought to keep them good for several years.
But, if you just put whole shrooms into the alcohol, you're going to get a goppy mess of mushroom mush in there too... If you want to store the stuff in alcohol, you're going to want to extract it into the alcohol, not just chuck shrooms in there.

I'd be surprised if you could get this to work effectively without losing more potency than simply drying them. I don't know how much drying affects the potency, I've heard from a 10-3% loss tops though. Nothing significant imo. If you don't like the taste, you can always make chocolates or tea, both taste well.. just like any regular chocolate bar or tea. I don't really care what you do, and I'd be interested in the results, but I just don't see the point really. Let us know how it works out if you try it though.
