Mushrooms: Wet vs Dry

which is better? if they were dried properly is one stronger than the other?
im aware that heat, light, and overall exposure will degrade your shrooms but when taken care of properly does drying still degrade them
does anyone know a sort of conversion for it, meaning typically ppl will eat an 8th of mushrooms to trip; how much would you eat if they were fresh. can i just pick six of em and eat em

wet is always stronger.
drying properly doesn't usually affect potency noticeably, but it does affect psilocin concentration i think..
you should look into it more, as should i.

It doesn't matter when you plug your nose when you down them both. Then brush your teeth. Then use mouth wash. Then brush your teeth again.
As far as which one is stronger, you would have to ask someone who measures their doses.

general rule of thumb is wet you take 10x you would if it were dry, so just move the decimal place over basically.
Drying will affect the potency somewhat, but I can't say it's to a noticeable extent really, and if it is, it's outweighed by the fact that their's potency variation from mushroom to mushroom anyways.

I think when you dry them some of the psilocin gets converted into psilocybin..and there may be a tiny potential to lose some potency, but probably not enough that you'll notice it
the trip could also be different because a wet shroom may digest differently and at a different rate than a dry one..but I'm just speculating here
could possibly be a reason though

As far as taste: Fresh tastes like real normal(non-psychedelic mushrooms) Dried: smells horrible, and tastes bitter.
As far as potency: Fresh is supposed to be stronger, but of course you have to take 10x the dose you would dry-so it's hard to down all those mushrooms-at least it is for me. 30grams wet will take quite a bit longer to eat than would 3grams dry-same dose.
As for nausea: I've noticed my nausea is much better with fresh shrooms than dried. Maybe it's a psychological thing, or maybe it's the nasty taste of dried.
Storage: Dried will last a couple months if stored in a cool, dark place-while fresh can last up to a week or two in the fridge.
All in all, dry for convenience. Wet, if love mushrooms

dry is much easier to eat..
but fresh produces a better experience in my opinion..
i believe the psilocin is a factor..

possibly, but I was always under the impression that the psilocin gets converted into psilocybin once it gets digested by the acid in your stomach

when you say its 10x heavier, the dose, its because the shrooms are just 10x heavier right. like how many mushrooms u eat is still the same

say you picked some mushies and you got 3 that weighed at 30 total. When they dried to 3g (lets just use 3 cuz its an easy number) you would still have the same shrooms. so wouldnt it take the same time to eat?

you'd have the same dosage- but you've got 3 big ass mushrooms that would take more chewing before you swallow.
and you have 3 dried mushrooms(small and thin, almost like crackers)- you could prolly get down the 3g's in one mouthful, where as the 30g's might take 8-10 bites(without stuffing your mouth)

IMO the best way to take shrooms is to dry them as soon as they're picked, grind them into a very fine powder, mix in fruit juice (grapefruit is my favourite) then drink.
No problems regarding taste and the trip is exceedingly smooth.

strangely, my consciousness took on the aspect of the wet mushies the one time i tried them that way.
it kind of sucked, my brainsphere seemed kind of mushy, or like it was slowboiled mushroom water replacing my brain for the trip.
i was in a weird place at the time, but shit.
the one discernable tripping moment was when i looked in the mirror and there seemed to be a fucking mad fusion going on in my irises.
probably to do with my unhappy schitzoid mindset in taking them
the rest was an overly warm fug.
a personal account. but im sure its all relative.

"fresh is always best"
applies to most things in life
that being said, i prefer fresh to dry for taste purposes and onset time

to clarify, this is only speaking in terms of weight. you will still be eating the same amount of flesh no matter what
