ABORT PROBLEM

i just got my first bulk casing to pin last week and i screwed up and misted while primordia were forming. now several days later i've got hundreds of aborts. damn things are everywhere. i've got big fingers so when i try to get them all off i end up smashing them or digging into the sub to get them all. i tried tweezers and that just ripped em to shreds. if it was just a few aborts it would be no big deal, but this is goin to take all night. any quick solutions for these little pieces of shit. if i keep doin what i'm doin now my whole tray is goin to look like one big smushy mess. i'm about to toss the whole thing, but i know its got more potential in there somewhere.

first of all:
are you sure that they were aborts?
were they in danger of rotting which would put the rest of your casing in danger?
if you answered no to either of these questions you should have left them.

This is my favorite tool for dealing with those annoying little buggers.
The trick is to not clamp down on them entirely. Just have the end open the width of the base and go underneath the substrate a bit. You can buy it at Radio shack, or Fry's electronics, or where ever else they sell electrical precision tools. There are so many types of them, some that are more curved and probably better suited for the job, but I just use the one I have for handling prints and things of the such.

Oh, and by the way they are scorched at the tip because of flame sterilization. NOT BECAUSE I WAS USING IT AS A "ROACH CLIP"!!;)

Remove aborts when you pick the flush. Don't mess with them until then or you'll destroy the good ones. RR
