Rubber syringe ports?

I don't know the technical name for the things, but you know what I mean, the little rubber cup thingies you see on the tops of insulin bottles and anything else made to be drawn with a syringe.
Does anyone know what those things are called, where they can be gotten, and what kind of adhesive would secure them to a jar lid? Obviously they need to be PC safe.
Also, when working with grains, specifically bird seed, as long as the jar is at least half empty, they don't need ventilation, right? Just an occasional shake?
Thanks

they are the rubber stopper that is used on vacutainers.
they don't need to be glued on with anything...
they snap into place on the lids, as long as you have a tight fitting hole drilled into the lid.
you should have some kind of filter system on the lid...
for gas exchange.

http://www.sciplus.com/search.cfm/scategory/CSL/term/rubber%20stopper they should be the first thing at the top of the page. I'm worried that they are going to eventually run out of them, as I know a lot of shroomers utilize this site for these constantly. the owners and operators of this website are great, fun loving people, on top of their amazing selection of goods. I really love the layout of the site, too. a great attention is paid to each the little thing they offer. I use, instead of pricey air filters (which I will probably invest in in the future, actually) just an arrary of small holes drilled into the top of the jar, and a piece of tyvek black taped on top of it. I don't know what the more educated mycologists would say about this, but I know it has worked over and over for me. Good luck.
