exactly, there's no way to tell who is a sincere religious worshipper or not, or even where that line ends or begins, you can be a jew, christian, or pretty much any organized religion and still use cannabis in a context that is spiritually significant to you. Even those who don't recognize a formal religion use cannabis for religious/spiritual purposes. Theres no way to be sure who's using it for religion which is another reason it should be legal across the board, so that those who use it in a genuine spiritual context don't get arrested.
Not allowing rastas to smoke bud blatantly violates the first amendment. Has this issue ever been brought to the supreme court?

Why thank you for that insightful comment!
(what I really mean to say is thanks for being the stereotypical stoner which is one of the reasons why drug laws are still here today!)

And thank you for assuming I'm the stereotypical stoner because I find the name "Laycock" to be hilarious. I can't possibly understand what's not funny about the name Laycock.
I'm all for legalization and/or decriminalization), but aside from availability issues, does it really matter whether or not drug laws are still in effect? They certainly don't stop anyone I know from getting and using pretty much whatever they want...not that I consort with drug users.
And, might I add: Laycock.

Im tired of hearing publicaly about marijuana being used for religious purposes . I mean it doesn't offend me or anything, but I really dont think it helps the cause.

Cannabis is a sacred plant. Mushrooms are sacred fungi. Their connection with the mystical and divine goes way back, as we are all aware. In my mind the State takes on the role of the anti-Christ by persecuting those who use cannabis. Jesus Christ used cannabis for its spiritual properties as well as to heal people. This is fundamentally an issue of religious freedom. I reject the claim that this does not help the cause; this IS the cause. The fact that I will be put in a prison if I cultivate a certain plant or mushroom confirms my belief that we all live in a thinly veiled police state.
