Crystal G said: well, i just had several tests done at the clinic and 2 out of 3 tests are done, 1 is still pending results...
my EKG and urinalysis both show up as abnormal (i will receive more specific details on monday...) i'm still waiting on my bloodwork (examples: toxicology, CBC, potassium/sodium levels, etc). but yea, damn, reasons could be anything ranging from renal failure to chlamydia to myocardial infarction to diabetes mellitus to syncope.
ehhhhhhhhh poo
is this list just you being paranoid or something?
anyways, what was wrong with the u/a? Or did they not tell you?
the diabetes and thyroid thing are possiblities, besides the more mundane depression. Diabetes would also show up in a u/a depending on your blood sugar at time of urine production did they do those glucose tolerance tests where they take blood at several diff times to see your metabolism? or did they just draw all the blood at once?
also, i don't know how common it is, but I've known several women who get anemic quite easily
women allready have lower hemoglobin counts, I presume from menstruation, and if you don't get enough iron or whatnot it can cause a pretty marked tiredness. But this is easy to detect, so I'm sure they'll let you know
I'm not being paranoid, I checked myself into a methadone clinic (the one that's observed by the DEA and requires you to attend daily for 3 months)... notice how i've stopped attending the shroomery and lycaeum as frequently as before...
anyway, upon admission they run a series of tests on the patient... for example toxicology screenings, CBC count, electrolyte levels, HIV/hepatitis/herpes/viruses, STDs, TB and other skin diseases, heart conditions, seizure disorders, etc etc etc. I wasn't even aware anything *new* was physically wrong with me until they told me... but I don't get the copies of my results until Tuesday because that's when the doctor will be in and I have to speak to him first about it; when my tests came back the RN's just made me sign papers acknowledging my EKG stats and urinalysis counts both came back abnormal, just so i know (i guess). I don't know what day my bloodwork comes back though.
edit: i just read your other questions...
first off, i never thought i had diabetes. i was stating that as one of the possibilities to show that the two abnormalities could indicate such a vast number of disorders & diseases, that it would be virtually impossible for me to guess what i possibly may have, just based on those two test results. it is not an indication of hypochondria, because i wasnt even aware that i had anything in the first place. further, if i was a hypochondriac, i wouldnt be doing 80% of the things that i have done in the past. that and i am also 99% certain that it is not at least half the possibilities that i listed. i am damn sure i am not pregnant, don't have any STD's, and if anything, based on my sudden and rapid weight loss, i'd guess that i have HYPOglycemia, as opposed to diabetes. weighed in approximately 100lbs on the scale at the office, and that was including layers of baggy winter clothes and boots... im skinnier now than when i was tweaking, which is kind of creepy.
and only 3 vials of blood were taken from me. but i will be getting another blood exam next month, along with monthly urine tests.
as for the menstruation bit, i still haven't gotten my period yet. but its probably just cause im losing so much weight. why i am losing it so rapidly though, remains a mystery to me. i eat like a horse. before, eating this much pretty much guaranteed gaining 6 inches in the waist.
edit: nvm... i take back what i said about the diabetes part http://www.diabetes.org/diabetes-symptoms.jsp
still, seems unlikely that i would get it... i have pretty much abstained from sweets all my life, until fairly recently, i've been indulging in mexican rice pudding, but thats it. that and, despite all the fluids i intake (which is a LOT), i barely urinate. maybe twice a day, if even that.

It's lupus! (It's never lupus)
Definitely though, you have heart disease and need a transplant.

back with SOME results. so about the EKG... my heart has sinus bradycardia (to the point that they cut my methadone dose wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down to 30mg so i started using several balloons a day again), my QT intervals are also prolonged (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_QT_syndrome) and it causes a condition also known as Torsades des Pointes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsades_de_pointes), which i've experienced before (IE sudden fainting, fading to black and then going unconscious) after an overdose of stimulants. My ventricles are particularly weak I guess. My urine showed positive for an infection, a UTI to be specific (but i thought UTI's burn when you pee....?!?!!? i didnt even know i had it so how the hell will i be able to tell if i have it again in the future without going to a doctor?).
My bloodwork also came back with abnormally high glucose levels. Strange, considering I was diagnosed with HYPOglycemia last year... so either I'm becoming a diabetic (how ironic), or my pancreas has decided to stop working.
I still don't have the full test results yet, but I asked them specifically if I have hepatitis since I had just found out that somebody i shared syringes with was living with another junkie who had hepatitis (the retard i call my friend didnt think it was a big deal because the hep in his roommate was "dormant" and "not active," so because of this he wasnt aware it could be spread . he also told me he was completely clean and he gets tested every year, and then he relates that his last test was 6 years ago ) the clinic only tested me for 2 kinds of hep (from what i know theres at least 8 different strands of the hepatitis virus), but the good news is, I showed negative for at least those two types of hepatitis. i probably got tested for the ones most commonly transmitted by blood-borne fluids... i believe it was A and C but i'm not 100% sure

I have changed my lifestyle (or am currently in the process of trying to right now, hence why I enrolled myself in the methadone clinic in the first place). but this could just be one of those things thats resulted from years of drug abuse, and is too late to reverse... well actually, I'm still fairly young, so I'm sure if I worked at it, I could get myself back to normal...
but I have ANOTHER problem wrong that I found out about today too… they checked all the chemistry levels in my body, and not only are my glucose levels borderline diabetic, my BUN/Creatinine ratio is 26.7 (average is supposed to be between 5.0 and 23.0), so my kidneys are also not functioning as well as before. It could just be simple dehydration, I mean when I came into the clinic I weighed around 100-105lbs with winter clothes and boots on, and the doctor DID say I was very much dehydrated so I'm hoping it's just that and not a serious renal condition. I'm just wondering if the combination of all these things is indicative of one disease or disorder, or if they're all separate issues. Either way, it'll all be resolved in due time when I see the cardiologist, I'm sure.

if youre still alive, its never too late crystal. did you know that your body regenerates every single cell your body holds in roughly 7 years?
if you change now, and REALLY want it, you can have a whole new body in 7 years. you can feel and see incredible results in even less than that. the thing is, you really have to want it. otherwise youll just revert.
and regarding your kidneys, get off the junk, its murder on your organs, especially the kidneys and liver. those levels should go back to normal once you stop taking pills and other opiates(or opiate replacements such as methadone). not right away, but they will. the body is a resilient machine.

Your body is probably just in a 'healing crisis' due to the shock of getting off junk. Give yourself time to readjust and honor the signals your body gives. Prioritize eating a balanced diet, getting exercise and getting adequate sleep and you'll heal in no time. Your body has a remarkable capacity to balance itself out given the opportunity! You're doing the right thing seeking medical advice...
