Tripping with eyes closed
    #7974845 - 02/03/08 07:34 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

Has anyone ever gone through an entire trip with their eyes closed? What would it be like? Would you just get completely lost within yourself and your mind, or would it not seem like you're tripping as hard without being able to see?

Next time I get shrooms, I wanna try sitting in the dark with my eyes closed and headphones on for as long as I can.

On my last acid trip (five hits of some rather potent stuff) I lay down and had my eyes closed for most of it. I watched a bit of TV on the comeup but couldn't stand it for very long, switched it off before I peaked, at which point I was just in pure darkness for several hours. The visuals tend to be rather subdued without any actual visual stimuli to agitate them; I see infinitely complex, colorless mazes (comparable to fingerprints or to the ridges in the human brain) forming out of nothing.

I love tripping with my eyes closed. Gotta be tripping pretty hard though so you can get the closed eye visuals. Just listen to good music and you'll see amazing patterns and I like to listen to live recordings because with my eyes closed I can imagine myself being at the concert or whatever.

I had my eyes closed for like 10min and I got lost in an infinite void, kinda freaky.

I remember when I closed my eyes on shrooms I had the most vivid image ever, like when you think of a childhood memory but so close to reality that I could almost reach out and touch this picture.

It was me in a wizard costume, riding a unicorn in beautiful green pastures
I usually have the patterns and the normal shapes and designs when I close my eyes, but that was amazing that time I saw the unicorn.

Eyes closed with headphones in listening to your favourite music is awesome. Whenever i trip, at some point i always feel the need to close my eyes for a bit and go into the infinite void. I always find visuals to be more intense with eyes closed.

Last trip I took 3 hits and played my tablas while me and my friend did sense deprivation. He was on 3 hits too, it was pretty crazy.

The first time I ever tripped I had my eyes closed for 6 hours. (LSD) It was crazy, I had no sense of anything outside the flow of the colors. Then the second time I tripped, also LSD, I kept my eyes open for the most part and I must say tripping closed eyed is much better.

it's hard for me to keep my eyes closed, but in all honesty that is where u'll find the most truth in this multidimensional world. i mean, what is sight besides generic information encoded by a limited brain? the real world lies behind what is not seen but felt. our reality is nothing but a weak attempt at trying to understand what "real" is...

my favorite times during a trip is when it gets to a point i cant tell if my eyes are closed or not. usually right around the peak of the experience ill see the same shit weather they are opened or not, given the proper setting. usually all cozied up in my bed with some headphones with the lights off. sometimes ill get this weird sensation that i can see through my eye lids... the visuals i see with my eyes closed are far greater than anything. fun stuff.

Yes while not a entire trip swim has gone from base line to the fall of his peak many times with eyes closed and in a dark roon.
