alright man, you still havn't given us a single reason why you are 100% sure those are campestris. I would way rather trust someone like GG than you, mainly because he has common sense. Something your dumbfuck self obviously lacks. There is no way you can absolutely positively id those mushrooms from those photos. But, you're one of those guys who gets off on trying to sound smart. You're so fed up with your shitty existence that you give false advice to people, and can't even back it up. Why?

Wow. This thread is so off topic and full of flaming.

Amity - If you are only interested in actives, then you need to do a LOT more research if you want to actually find them. A LOT.
Otherwise you might post 100 ID requests and be disappointed every time.
If you want to know if they are active, just ask that, don't ask for an ID request. We can fairly easily tell you if your mushroom is active or not, but to identify it requires a lot more information.

Evets, I'm sorry, but there is simply not enough info, and those photos are not adequate to conclude that the mushroom is a "Meadow Mushroom", or that it is edible.

Personally, I'm not so sure it is even an Agaricus. Hebeloma, Agrocybe, and Cortinarius come to mind, looking at the rusty gills(rather than dark or chocolate brown as with Agaricus). Two of those genera contain many poisonous mushrooms.
Do NOT advise people to eat any mushrooms please. Not until you can accurately articulate why a specific mushroom is whatever species you claim it to be. Sorry we have to be harsh, but mushrooms can kill.

well i was just replying to landsnorkler and this got locked. i simply cannot control myself with this shroomtalker guy anymore and have to say something to snorkler:

thanks landsnorkler, i have admitted many times i am not some kind of genius identifier of mushrooms, but, the first time i remember finding mushrooms was in 1st grade. i would walk the girl next door to school with me every morning and we started noticing mushrooms in lawns, conocybes and panaeolina i assume. even at that age, for some reason just knew that you do not want to eat mushrooms that have not been correctly identified.

if this is the same guy from shroomtalk, well, he does not know that, trust me, i got into him with it and he started threatening me when i corrected him on what he was doing (eating unidentified mushrooms).

sure, the ones in the photograph may very well be campestris Meadow Mushrooms, but, you cannot really say that for certain with the info he provided (i can't at least). campestris does not even grow in florida i do not think so i have never had my hands on it before i do not think, just about a dozen other Agaricus mushroom species that i was unsure of at the time and never really even attempted to identify.

at shroomtalk he was showing photographs of what he claimed were A. bitorquis (which they did not look like it to me at all macroscopically) and then he said that they were Portobellas, when those mushrooms are actually A. brunnescens. So then he starts asking (as he is showing photographs of him cooking them and eating them) he asks "are these Agaricus augustus?". of course they are not. i know because that is probably the only wild Agaricus that i know how to identify without even using a book. so he eats the things anyways and gets vulgar and just basically being a complete moron if you ask me. he said "why don't you go to one of your fucking cautious mycology meetings before i fuck you up you piece of shit" ect. just going on and on because he did not have some medicine that he claimed makes him grumpy without it. so then i googled the medicine and it showed zero information about this stomach and intestinal medicine making people mean like that. so then he shows pictures of Coprinus atramentarius (poisonous with alcohol) and asks if they are C. comatus. of course not i said, then he just goes into a fit of rage again and eats the things anyways and shows photographs of him cooking the things. at shroomtalk this is acceptable, because they banned me for it and locked and deleted the topic saying "you are probably right but just let him do his own thing and eat what ever he wants". end of story. the guy pisses me off.

ok Amity, thank you for sharing the photographs but we are going to lock this one again. my appologies your topic turned out this way. a good example of what happens if you do not supply us with adequate details about your finds you would like identified. make note of that for next time..
