One of my trays(brf cake cased with 50/50 peat and verm) is forming tons of pins-but they are incredibly tiny and take a while to grow.
its never been like that before, wtf is wrong

Sounds great to me as long as they don't abort you will get a huge flush.

how long have they been fruiting for? FAE? Temp? humidity? is the casing layer dried out?
post that stuff and it will be easier to help... are the caps getting real dark?

what strain too while we're at it?
i notice that pin formation varies greatly in my experiences too.. even with constant conditions.

Been fruiting for a few days. FAE- I try to fan a couple times a day. Humidity is usually from 85-95% humidity. Casing layer isn't dried out on the this tray. I mist about 3-5 times a day/
thanks, btw- is there any way to not have those pins abort?

if the casing layer is not dry then do not mist... mist vveeerrrryyy lightly after you fan... and I mean very lightly...
there is no way to stop them from aborting... when you see pins, you should stop misting anyway, and if your fruiting chamber and your casing layer is prepared correct, then you wont need to mist at all, and it will have all the moisture it needs to take it through that flush... for sure...
is there any standing water in the casing's trays? ya know, from all the misting... they dont really tend to "soak" up water, so you could possibly be drowning them.. and you may have some side pinning going on too... maybe..
sooo.. stop misting, and just wait... it takes about a week to form pins, and about a week to mature... be patient
keep fanning just like you are, and more if you can.... you should be fine... you can tell if they abort because the caps start turning dark and almost black, and dont get any bigger..
hope this helps

ya, this is my third grow.
Well, it looked dry, so that's why I mist. I mist when it looks dry and dries pretty quick. Hope I didn't drown them and abort them all

IS it dry, or does it LOOK dry? sterilize a fork next time you think it looks dry, and take a lil bit out with the fork, just enough to squeeze to check for moisture... how many holes and how big are they in your chamber? too many and it will cause your casing layer to dry out quicker...

I don't think I have too many holes in there, really wish I could mod a fan in there somehow

you fanning it should work fine... I used to just run a cool mist in my tubs all day and all night... good rh and constant air exchange... you could hook up one cool mist to up to four tubs... that, with perlite or pumice in the tubs, humidity and fae will be great... you can control the rh by drilling more holes, or covering them up to achieve the rh your aiming at....

you would get better fae and great humidity if you used a cool mist, and sealed the bottom, and cut some slits in the martha.... the one you got in there looks like an ultrasonic mister.. which wont give any FAE...
that might be your problem right there...
