How is it possible that I contaminated the LC?

Well, I am known to do favors, and I was doing one for a close friend. I was making him some LC jars, and was going to let him take it from there.
I made 5 jars. Soake dthe jars in bleach water for 15 mins, rinsed off and put 500ml of water in them. I used Barley Malt and spring water. 1/4 tsp of malt to 500ml water. Tyvek lids with self healing injection port. Wiped jar rim with alcohol soaked cloth. PCed @ 15 psi for 25 mins. When I injected the spores, I used a propane torch, and alcohol soaked cloth. Wiped the injection port, flamed the needle and then straight onto the alcohol soaked cloth. From there I uncovered the injection port and injected 2cc of spore solution.
2.5 days later and there isn't much growth, but the LC has turned a bit cloudy. I can still see through it, but it isn't as clear as it was when it came out of the PCer.
How the heck could I have screwed this up?

tyvek has no place with lc's. Spore syringes suck when it comes to lc's. Why would you remove the injection port?

what do you mean spore syringes suck when it comes to lc? And tyvek can make a decent air filter port for an lc jar, why wouldnt it? As long as its not getting wet.

I didn't remove the injection port. I had an alcohol soaked cloth over top of the lid, I lifted the cloth as I was ready to inject the spores.
Spores have worked for me before with LC, took longer, but it worked.

I didnt say tyvek doesnt work for lcs. I said it sucks and that is the exact reason.
spore syringe suck for lc's. Lets say tehre are 100 bad mold spores in a ss. You use that ss for a pf jar. you squirt 10 bad mold spores and 1000's of cube spores in the same hole. the 10 bad spores will most likely get over taken by the cubes and never be a problem.
Now you do the same for a lc. thos 1000 mushroom spores germinated and grow. the mold spores do the same because they can float around. In a pf jar everything stays still. The spores stay put, they have to compete.
In a lc the spores float around and have all teh food they want

so what do you recomend for
A) Filter material for LCs B) inoculation method of LCs if starting from spores?
Ive been using tyvek sleeve material cut into small 1/2" squares siliconed to the top of the lid over a 1/8th " hole and also another rtv silicone port for syringe. Works good with a magnetic stir bar set up. When its time to draw LC you just make sure to turn the lc on its side very carfully to keep the liquid out of the filter its pretty easy. No need for an airport syringe that way. Leave jar rings loose when pcing and the tyvek never gets wet and the lc finishes in 4-7 days anyways.

I would recomend the lid design that agar came up with. If not than a plastic lid with an injection port and polyfill. If polyfill gets wet it will most likely not contam. If tyvek gets wet it will most likely contams.
