"Energy" From LSD and Mushrooms?

Its no secret that you get alot of energy with LSD and with mushrooms (although i hear some complain of heavy body load)
Why do you think this is? Any theories? Is there any drug induced reason we can explain?
I personally think about how tired i get whenever i have to worry about my image. Once my ego is dead my energy is no longer going twords over thinking about pointless topics.
Thoughts?

my energy is everywhere when i have ego loss, taht is why i feel one with everything. I no longer identify with me as a personality or person, it is like the energy we expel on keeping our ego together is lost into the infinite.

Your brain is using more time. That's my best guess.

I think nausea and a heavy body load is from poor diet, whenever I juice fast for a few days first, the trip is non-sickly and super-charged with energy.

a twitchy energy, physical restlessness occurs because of "random" spikes produced when psychedelic enhancement "thickens" the electric signal activity action in the cortex. In a way it is as if phantom stimuli exist that make legs and body want to move. (I get it from shrooms and salvia as well).
the stimuli are interference artifacts, or by-products of layering from the buildup of sensation that fades more slowly but arises as quickly as usual.
another thing that suggests energy is the trails or even more so, the layered and blended psychedelic colors around objects and between them.
those things combined with a more wide open approach to everything identified and not identified, happenning in more than just one moment together - and the sense that all things are equal in unqualified energetic aspects, sure suggests lots of natural energy orientation to me.

mental, physical and emotional blocks are associated with feelings of being drained, heavy, condensed and restricted. psychedelics help to expand and move awareness through attachment and identification with thought and emotion. when this happens identification with mind and emotion is realized and transcended, and the blocks are cleared. sometimes in deep meditation you will cry when an emotional block is cleared, which will result in waves of bliss, joy and euphoria. a totally new layer of perception is tuned into and realized and energy flows more freely. exercise, meditation, yoga, eating healthy, and psychedelics are all important in keeping blocks from forming.
just my interpretation.

It's the feeling of your brain on overdrive...
that's how it always struck me.

if it feels you are on overdrive that may be due to tension (if i am reading you correctly). on the comeup on mushrooms tension builds and then there is a release point where the tension is released. sometimes the tension is not released and the result is a confused/scattered/negative trip. this is why many people i know stopped doing psychedelics, they could not move through this point (let alone in their waking state).

I know what you're saying there. Most of my unpleasant trips feel that way. However, I have also had many very revealing and intellectual acid trips where that feeling of tension never vanished. Perhaps it must be walked, like a tightrope.
It should be mentioned that more of my psychedelic experiences are with acid. Mushrooms are definitely different in the way their tension plays out; you're right, in that it seems while coming up you face a lot of unpleasantness and tension, but somewhere at the peak it's released and becomes very easy and comfortable. You are released into a vast and pleasant mindstate whose boundaries have been stretched by the unpleasantness at the beginning. And the trips where the tension doesn't go away are almost always extraordinarily unpleasant.

revealing acid trips are always tense in a way for me, but it is a different kind of tension... one that i have no control over. an intense vibration if you will.
