Recommend some responses for "how are you?"

Hey recommend some things that I can say in reply to people at work who ask me how I'm doing. I need to start using something other than "Good (or some variation), how are you?". Sometimes I say "Fair to midlin'" because I work in WV.

I sometimes say "GREAT!" with a big smile and a thumbs up. Also good is to make up some horrible and tragic like "Besides the testicular cancer, not much."

I need to start having clever responses like "Good, but I'll get over it". When you ask one guy "What's up?", he'll say "Everything but my rate of pay". That's funny.

Depends on the mood I'm in at the time, but if they're the type with a sense of humor, I'll make up this bizarre story, such as:
"Well I'll tell you: On my way to work, one of my tires blew - forcing me to the side of the road. As I got out to change the tire, this big-ass nigga decided to rob me. He pulled out his knife and said: 'Give me your wallet, bitch!' I told him, all I had were cereal coupons to donate at work later on. He gave me a weird look and said: 'That shits whack, man! You're poorer than me'. He walked away disappointed, and I was able to resume the changing of the tire. ... So, how are you?"
Other times when I'm tired or in a hurry, I'll just say: "Who wants to know? or "Whats it to you?"
Or maybe something more interesting like: "I'm glad you asked me that! A hooker followed me home last night ..."
etc.

"Well. I am well."
"Splendid."
"Generally pleased."
Man it's hard to think of responses that don't involve "Good"...
Even those ones are retarded

Most people truthfully really don't want to know how you are when they ask, unless you're in a good mood. "How are you" is something many people say without even thinking about it (sort of like children and the Pledge of Allegiance), and if you start to go into detail about how you really are, it can be a regrettable turn of events for the person who asked. I tend to just reply with "pretty good" and leave it at that.

Also, you could look at them with a concerned face and say: "Man, my hemmorhoids are bleeding again. I'm gonna let you take a look - you let me know if I should apply some oitment." Then you turn around as if you're really gonna pull your pants down.

I usually say "fantastic". It leads to a lot of superficial conversations with store clerks.
