Ordering online
    #7966245 - 02/01/08 07:18 PM (16 years, 5 hours ago)

Suppose one were to order something of questionable legality online...

Assuming this person is smart, they would "clean house" before the package arrived just in case. The question is, if the only place they could get it delivered was their house (which isn't smart, but necessary) would they need to start worrying once their address was sent if the sender was in fact LEO or would they only need to clean right before the intended package was to arrive?

I guess what I'm asking is if LEO would have enough grounds for a search with just an order or would they wait until the package actually arrived to investigate the premises?

Hehe, that is a good idea.  No crackheads that I know about around here, but plenty of illegals.  Shit, I guess they wouldn't have proper ID though, huh?

I'd gladly pay it too!

shit man, I live in the suburbs...no soup kitchens or shelters around here. there are some "corner" guys, but they wouldn't have an addy.

anywho, the real question is do they have enough to search a house on just placing an order only? I would assume they would wait until the package arrived to know that you have something in there to make it worth their while....

they would probably bust after the order was recieved if they knew in advance, but yeah, ordering something illegal gives them enough to get a warrant.

if your talking about spores, probably not, they'd need other evidence

the rule is they can get a warrant if its more liekly than not that you broke the law (includes attempts and plans to)
