say someone is setting up a martha closet. Instead of tubing in a humidifier, etc. Could one just place the humidifier on the top rack of the martha closet?

Sure. Gotta figure out a way for FAE if you don't want to be fanning constantly though. Don't leave it running 24/7 either. Turn it on until your RH is up to desired level then put it on a timer. I run mine 5 on / 20 off.

Thanks man. I got one with a timer on it, and a gage for humidity.

I've got one with an adjustable output regulator (a knob) so I'm wondering if it is better to put it on a timer or to run it constantly.

Put it at the bottom. A cool mist needs to shoot a mist straight up about 5 feet to work properly. Mine sit on the floor of the mini-greenhouse, one on each side of the shelves. Cut a hole in the plastic right next to where the humidifier sits, and it will draw in some fresh air and also mix with the air inside to give you a nice 95% humidity easily. Giving lots of fresh air in a greenhouse is easy. Simply use a knife to cut slits and holes in several places. RR
