Coffee for BRF jars?
    #7965294 - 02/01/08 03:06 PM (16 years, 9 hours ago)

Just read this article  about speeding up colonization.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5574833#5574833

Im just curious about using coffee with the substrate. Im not sure Im reading it correctly.

25% freshly brewed coffee to 75% water works quite well. On a per-jar level thats a tablespoon of coffee per three tablespoons of water. I'm sure you folks are smart enough to figure out how to get that ratio in larger measurements.

So With each jar I use a tb of coffee and 3 of water..mixing that in with the verm/brf/water with each jar?

Thanks for any help

As long as your pH isn't too low, I guess it should be okay.

It is completely unnecessary, but if you want to do a few and try it for your self to see if you are happy with the results then why not try it.
