5 Gallon monobuckets, advice?

I'm interested in going monotub and the 5 gallon monobucket appeals to me. I will be using WBS spawned to coir/manure/coffee. I plan on having 7 quarts of colonized materiel or 4" from the bottom of the bucket. I'm worried about the bucket being too small to go monotub neglect style. At these ratios there is only going to be 10" of air above the substrate (Assuming a 5g bucket is about 14"). Is this enough for the bucket to keep the humidity up? Will this small area cause problems for FAE? I'm not above running filtered air to the buckets. Used the search and couldn't find any teks, if you have done neglect buckets could you post some tips? Thanks, peace.

I heard about a guy using paintbuckets with four normal sized, polyfilled holes all stacked on top of each other in a pyramid and he said it worked just dandy. No personal experience, however.
Monotubs and their slightly modified offspring seem to be quite proficient at retaining humidity overall.
EDIT: Making sure you have an oscillating fan running anywhere in your grow room is a great idea to assist air circulation inside mono[insertcontainerdeviceobjectthingofchoicehere]

I do a bucket, not neglect by any means. My containers are ~4 gallon containers and I have saran wrap over the top with holes poked in it. I have about a hole every 2 square inches or so and the diamater of the opening of the container is about a foot and there is about 10 inches from the top of my substrate to the top of container.
Sub depth, 4 pint of colonized wbs to 10 cups of coir/gyspum/ewc, is ~4 inches.I fan + mist + fan (in that order) 3+ times a day (whenever possible).
Yield was ~3oz dry.

I had this same idea today as a matter of fact but I discarded it because of the light and fae and surface area available so i sprung for another big plastic 105L monotub
