tripping and psychoacoustics

Ok, sure weed makes shit sound a little cooler, I guess.... but I think it has more to do with just being relaxed....
but when I eat mushrooms or acid, shit just sounds better. Like 5.1 in my head. it has a texture/quality/veneer to it that just sounds generally clearer, crisper, and almost like an aural exciter is on it.
for those that arent familiar...
Quote:
The Aural Exciter is said to enhance clarity and intelligibility by adding phase shift and musically related synthesized harmonics to audio signals. The Big Bottom circuit combines a low-pass filter and dynamics processor to compress and delay incoming low-frequency information. The process is reverse amplitude dependent, meaning that more is applied as the input level drops and less as the signal gets hotter. Together the dynamics processor and time delay create sustained bass frequencies that are perceived as being louder yet don't noticeably increase peak output. According to Aphex, the Model 204 updates the Aural Exciter and Big Bottom processor blocks with improved circuitry, including an optical gain-control element for the Big Bottom compressor.
I think that there has to be a way to create a sound system that is designed to reproduce sound quality that is reminiscent of what you hear tripping. but I could be wrong. maybe some of you might know better than me about this. I cant figure out if it would be due to a breakdown in the perception... like the laws of psychoacoustics no longer apply to your ears... which makes sense to me because more often, you listen with your ears as one unit, and my baseless hypothesis is that when tripping your ears are split and you are perceiving through both simutaneously, but independantly. which would throw off the laws of psychoacoustics.
OR: it is simply an information phenomena, where your brain mutates/delays comprehension of sound to create that effect.
I doubt that I am alone on this, but maybe it stands out more for me since my most dominant sense is my hearing and my reality is more focused/built around sound. but the only way I can describe the quality of sound while tripping is that it sounds like the way bright, squeeky, vinyl looks.
If the latter is correct, then I dont think a system is possible... but if the former is correct, then it would be possible through exaggerating the aural exciter and using a 5.1 system so perfectly aligned to create a floating phase cancellation that it might possibly force the listener to separate their ears.
so, anyone have any thoughts on this?

Probably the Thetans that are normally plugging your ears and clouding your brain are temporarily driven away by mushrooms or acid allowing you to hear better.

Interesting. Psychoacoustics and the field of music therapy has come a long way since the 1970's. Not much is written on the subject of psychoacoustics, most information that has been done on aircraft noise/vibrations.
I have NO IDEA how you could reproduce the sounds you hear, but even if your mind distorts your concept of sound, that still doesn't mean it can't be done.
What do you think 3-D glasses do. They distort your perception of sight in order to see an object in a way that it is not. Although they never seemed to work for me, tons of folks used 3-D glasses to watch movies in order to see a 3-D object thats actually 2-D.
I think what you want to do can be done, I just have no technical knowledge of how. If you really want to look into it, check out The Monroe Institute - http://www.monroeinstitute.com/
They are leaders in the field of psychoacoustics. The more you read about them and their work, the more of a "wow" factor you'll see.
And Seuss... be nice

I'll try... though you should be yelling at my Thetan's as they are the real cause of me being mean.
Getting back on topic... has anybody noticed that they can hear things that are in the distance when tripping? Last time I was a carpet toy, I could hear the neighbors down the road, talking in the kitchen, as if I were in the same room.

i could hear a what sounded like Nova, on PBS coming out of someones house from down the street. I was floating along down the street listening to the narrator talk about stars and black holes and other wonderful stuff.
as for music sounding better, I'd say its just the acid fucking with your brain. I once ate a fist full of pissed off sugar cubes and turned on the radio at some point later. The track on the radio was "im just a girl" by No Doubt. and at that point in time it was the greatest song i had ever heard in my entire life. so yea, its just the acid
eventually the radio progressed into alien gibberish and i felt like i was in a spaceship later i opened up the back door and it was like when that guy in the movie Beetle Juice opens his back door.

thanks for the link.
i really found this interesting...
Quote:
Hemi-Sync® is an audio guidance technology that works quite simply by sending different sounds (tones) to each ear through stereo headphones. The two hemispheres of the brain then act in unison to “hear” a third signal – the difference between the two tones. This is not an actual sound, but an electrical signal that can only be perceived within the brain by both brain hemispheres working together. Learn more or view
so it kind of reinforces what I was saying about training you to listen with each ear differently.
