Hey all = ) i've posted here a few times over the past few years under various names, only becuase i've forgotten the passwords of the previous screennames...anyway, my question(s) -i have a few jars about 90/95% colonized (KSSS + GT) and im planning of just caking them out since i don't have enuff time to exactly go through with the process of attempting the cassing. And if i remember correctly(can't find a pre-existing post on this, so i appologize if there is one) i could place the cakes upon some moist or damp perlite? Secondly, for ventilation, i know some use poly-fill or something to that nature. I however cannont find any such product as of late, but i do still have the breathable microspore surgucal tape. could i use that in its place?( i now it'll be alot but...) last question...the cakes i have are about 40% WBS/50& Rye and 10% powdered quinoa and whenever the jars start to colonized there's a rise in moisture content in the jars, is that normal? thanx all in advance! = )

So it is just grain on it's own?
You need to case it or it won't fruit.
PF Cakes fruit uncased because they are basically made of vermiculite, but grain on its own holds no water.

yea it's all grain... will they fruit even if i roll them w/ vermiculite? but im assuming they wont fruit since the grain will cuase the cakes to crumble?

Rye grain will fruit by itself, but poorly at best, IMHO.
Try spawning that rye to coir, then case for max yield.
