Zappa rules! Hot Rats is one of my favourite albums!

someone upload billy the mountain.
also, is that willie the pimp from the Filmore East show in the 70's with the mothers?
that is probably zappa's best live album, either that or the baby snakes DVD.

Who?
That will be the Hot Rats version with Beefheart.
Their best live album is Roxy and Elsewhere
Billy was a mountain, Ethel was a tree growing off of his shoulder.

I would put it second to Live at Filmore east. I think the musicianship, and the songs are better, but as a whole, the way they made an entire concert devoted to making fun of groupies makes me Lawl everytime. "do you like my new car? its a filmore, I dig the fins"
and
"and your fat, hairlip dyke girlfriend in the back has to have it with a yoohoo bottle or she goes ape shit"

"Juked by a baby octopus, spewed upon with creamed corn."
It does have a certain appeal. Then again
"Joined the bus on the thirty third seat by the doodoo room with the reek replete"
I just think it's better. Much more literate and refined. I think Flo and Eddie were definitely a corrupting influence on my dear Frankie, like that evil Beefheart fellow was. Frankie Creamcheese, what's become of you? I liked him much better without those bad boys. He used to cut the grass, doncha know. Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Twirly Studebaker Hawk yeah yeah Studebaker Hawk....what were we talking about?

I definitely agree, I love the mudshark song. My friends and I learned that song, one of our favorites to play. The lyrics are just so great even though they consist mostly of the word mudshark.

funny story: when i was a child, my mother used to sing songs to make me go to sleep. I was lulled by classic hits by Joni mitchell and Carol King (she grew up in the 70's ), but one night she sang "im the Slime" by zappa, and from then on I always wanted her to sing that song to me.
on a side note... I just looked up the lyrics to "Im the slime" and in the first stanza it says "I may be vile and pernicious"...
but I am almost positive the actual line is "malicious" not pernicious.

It's pernicious.. you can definitely tell by listening to it.
