Could the .3 micron 99.97 rating HEPA vacume cleaner bags work for a small positive pressure glove box?
These bags are only around 35 dollars each. The filter itself is fairly small, but my idea was to filter the air intake to the box for a minute or two, then shut it down for still air.
Would this create a sterile enviroment inside the glove box? The thing about still air glove boxes is when you move your gloves around inside, the air isnt still. This has to kick one or two contam spores around.
I did search this, and found nothing pertaining to these vacume bags here. If I missed something a link would be greatly appreciated as well.
Thanks

A glove box is still pretty effective as it is, even with mine that has no gloves, and i dont have tyvek sleeves, 100% success rate, as soon as i go open air, i fail miserably.
99.97%? I would be looking for 99.99%.

Gloveboxes are STILL AIR, not positive pressure, which creates turbulence, thus causing problems, not solving them. RR

Moving your hands inside of a glovebox while working also causes turbulance. This is why I wanted to filter the air in the box, shut the positive pressure filter off. Then work inside. So the few contams inside the box would get stirred up while moving my hands around inside. Is this over thinking? I didnt mean I wanted to work while the fan was on. Just to have the inside of the box to be filtered before work was started inside.

Make sure everything is settled. Take some alcohol + swabs, and go to town on some cleaning of all walls and ceiling of Glove Box. You should be set to go after that.
