That one guy is awesome, the priest who's a trained biologist. I also like how he's the only one who seems really sure of himself and his views.
Also, I find Christian fundies a LOT more scary than Muslim fundies (although I'm not a fan of extremists of any kind). The US is the most powerful nation in the world, and most of its citizens are Christians, many of them fundamentalists. Like the movie said, only about 25% of them believe that evolution is real. Fuckin' scary.

Actually, they said that only 25% of Americans believe in evolution, not 25% of the fundies.
I find that amazing. As soon as you begin studying evolution all of the ties to other sciences makes it overwhelmingly probable. Unfortunately people like in this video either never study evolution, or view it through the "glasses" of a presupposed religious viewpoint, and since it clashes with their belief system, they disregard it.

That's what I meant, sorry, I wasn't clear there.
And you're right, evolution is overwhelmingly probable if you actually bother to learn about it. I think part of the reason they get away with not "believing" in it is that it's a theory that hasn't technically be proven to be factual. It's kind of like gravity that way.

See now YOUR the kind of Christian that I can respect. If only everyone opened their eyes.

I agree that Christians have the right to believe in anything they want, I was just distressed because these fallacies were being presented to the public as factual.
