Help A New Grower (No Idea What He's Doing)

If any of this information isn't allowed, please let me know. I have tried searching and have found a few guides, but I like to be sure on things.
Disclaimer- I have no gardening experience, please bear with me.
I am looking to grow a few plants: Calea Z Sinicuichi Blue Lotus Lagochilus Inebrians Wild Dagga
I really would like to grow Calea, and the rest I could mix and match. I have a few questions. My main one is, how viable are the seeds? (I know I can't post vendor's links, but if I can't do this please let me know) NO NON SPONSOR VENDORS PLEASE!!has Calea, Sinicuichi and Lotus, but with no guarantees. IAS has Lagochilus, Sinicuichi and Dagga with viable guarantees on them. How careful do I have to be ordering seeds?
I would like to grow these in pots inside, but I understand that outside is better. (I could buy grow lights if that would help and if that isn't too expensive) Here in Minnesota it won't warm up for a good couple of months, could I start the seeds off now and then either keep them in pots or transport them outside? (I know this varies from plant to plant, but please let me know what you know)
Another thread shows this information on Calea:
"Growing Calea from seeds is a difficult task, the most common way to grow it is propagation from cuttings. The Calea plant likes full sun, good drained soils and a lot of irrigation. A good soil mix for calea cultivation is: 1/3 of a rich substrate, 1/3 vermiculite and 1/3 of humus." A few other members said it was relativity easy to grow though.
I am very sorry if this post is out of line, once again please let me know if it is. I do appreciate any and all help though. If you have grown any of these plants, I would love to hear your experiences.

I kind of figured about the Lotus. Thank you for the reinsurance, Calea really is the one that I would love to grow.

This thread has been closed.
Reason: this whole thread is turning in to one big hook up thread and non sponsor vendor discussion, this is not the marketplace and this WILL not be allowed in the ethno garden.
