first of all, i have just started a 9er tek, knocked up with a well formed honey LC a week and a half ago, it seems like now the rice is turning an almost a pinkish color, i can see a few wisps of mycs in this pinkish color, but not a def white. this is present in all of the jars, i dont smell anything, and im going to wait it out, just hoping if anyone else has experienced this
next- in my last grow, which had is last (of five!) flushes again a few weeks ago, spores had dropped on to the incubation chamber perilite. just now i was going in to grab the tops of some jars for cleaning and such, and i can see mycs growing directly on the perilite!!! all white, beautiful wish i had that in my jar. This has been in a completely open air environment. if i left these, which sacrifices cleaning the chamber, but it doesnt stink or anything, will it grow to fruit??

the only place u can seperate a mycelium exposed to open air conditions is agar and agar like teks (cardboard , brf agar ) , but why would you do that =) i see no reason for doing that maybe if you dont have any spores left that might be. Peace

You could try putting that perlite into some pasteurized manure, but don't hold out high hopes. RR

anything other than white should be suspected , especially when it is pink , i guess it will turn out to be lipstick mold which you can find out from the database . Anyway while asking for questions when you have a picture to describe it it means more then 1000 words you described . If this was your first lc , and you didnt shoot any test jars to see if it is working or not , i guess they may be contaminated . If you didn't do so next time when you prepare a lc first inoculate a test jar and if it turns out ok continue with your batch of jars . Peace
