Peroxyde for Oxygen !

Hi everybody,
I read somewhere about people putting a little bit of Peroxyde in their plant's water. They do this to add a little bit of oxygen for the roots of the plants.
What's about putting straight peroxyde in a glass in the terrarium just to add oxygen in the air?
And yes, i'm a frenchie and yes, all I know about english came from shroomery!

The byproduct of an oxidizing agent is oxygen, therefore, it has to have something to oxidize. So you would at least have to mix it with water. I've read that h2o2 can be used in an emergencey to give fish oxygen if a pump fails by adding it to water, but I doubt it's going to help in the mycological scenario.

Bonjour!
Je parle francais un pue...
Use search and enter h2o2. It was first used to help promote clean perlite and anti cob-webbing, however, it's been now seen to cause other issues... Good luck, welcome.

Smitty says, waddup frenchie! how goes it on your side of the equator...
Fred has been up there in Quebec and seen some absolutely beautiful mushrooms of all species growing wild along the railways....
some cubies too, but some wouldn't have liked him picking on the job
As for h2o2 for adding oxygen, it would never be needed in the Fruiting chamber since yes, you would need to add a oxidizing agent such as water for it to successfully evaporate into air but standing water is the last thing you want in your fruiting chamber since it will just attract UN-wanted mold spores and bacteria.
Fred says take care.

It doesn't give enough to measure in the air, even when 35% peroxide is used. There's a big difference between using peroxide in water for fish, and in the air for mammals and/or fungi. There's been several recent threads on this. RR
