I had a question about strains: When using a multispore syringe, how do you know which mushroom that grows out of the mycelium is an "actual" mushroom from the strain advertised on the syringe? Is there anyway of telling? And why is it called multispore? Isn't a spore print from one mushroom consider "Multispore" (since there's more than one spore)?

Any spore print is multispore. It's called multispore because it contains multiple spores.
When you inoculate with multispore (that is, any inoculation using spores) you will always get several actual strains (in the real meaning of the word 'strain') in your substrate. But all these strains are from the same "commercial strain".
"Strain" is a confusing word. It actually means a single dikaryon, but the spore vendors call each variety of cubensis a "strain", which is very misleading...

I'm in need of a strain of mushroom to grow. I'm looking for something that can grow at room temperature, without the addition of outside heating sources. I also need something that has huge fruits, and is a prolific fruiter- so far I've chalked up B+ and Malabar coast strains as two very desirable strains, so could someone give me some insight?

Read through a couple hundred posts in this thread, your question has been asked and answered many times.
All the strains you listed are quality strains. They all grow at room temp.

That's actually all I really needed to know- I just need to make sure they don't completely fail on me, and everything I've read up on malabars and B+ has always been positive

I just was curious about the Hawaiian strains fruiting. I have 5 BRF cakes in a FC for about a week and a couple days now. I birthed them when they started to pin in the jars. I dunk n rolled and i put a pretty thick layer of verm on them. Anyways my question is, i noticed only small fruits growing on two of them. I have them in natural indirect sunlight, fanning about 6 times a day and misting, temp is about 72 degrees and i was wondering is it normal for the hawaiian strain to produce fruit so slowly and at different rates than other cakes.

Hey guys, I was getting ready to pick up some spores from Ralphsters and saw the Ralphster's Choice Special. Since it's the most economically advantageous bundle I wanted some opinions on the strains.
Argentina, Texas, Malabar, B+, Burma, and Tasmanian.
Since it's my first time growing I'm starting with B+ but want to know if the other 5 strains can be grown in similar conditions, or have some of you tried them out and had great difficulties.
Thanks for any info, and here's a link to his special if anyone's interested. http://www.ralphstersspores.com/index_files/Page934.htm

How do you know PF Classic is ready? [Re: RogerRabbit]

I have been doing some research on PF Classics and I have noticed that unlike alot of others I have seen, the veil isn't open on any of the pictures of PF Classics, so how in the world do I know when they are ready to harvest? I assumed you would just wait for the veil to begin to open, then harvest, but I am starting to think that was wrong. Any help would be great!

Amanita muscaria, aka. Fly agaric, and you can't cultivate them. They are mycorrhizal, which means that they need a plant host to grow. I believe Amanitas only grow on pine roots (I'm not sure if it was pine, maybe I remember wrong).
They also do not contain any psilocin or psilocybin, instead they contain ibotenic acid and muscimol. The Amanitas need to be properly dried to convert the ibotenic acid to muscimol. The trip is nothing like psilocybin mushrooms, it's more sedative/dissociative type.
You can collect Amanitas from the woods. Just make sure you get the right Amanitas. The white ones are lethal... the red and yellow ones with white spots are ok, the dried fruitbodies can be eaten, brewed to tea or smoked (unlike psilocybin mushrooms).

Amanita Muscaria, and apparently it only grows around evergreens most specifically Pines. It's active constituents are also not Psilocin and Psilocybin they are Muscimol and Ibotenic acid.

Pantherina is definitely considered toxic. And you only smoke the warts off the caps of Muscaria. Tastes nasty as hell and really all in all does little.

I may have made a typical error there. Tho I cannot remember the name of the one I am thinking. Dark Purple black caps with white spots, white spore print and grows from the egg looking thing. I can't remember the name of that right now either. Too many

You're right for the most part about the Pantherina.
Amanita pantherina are also known as Panther Mushrooms. This cousin of the Amanita muscaria ranges in color from dark to light brown, tan to dull yellowish.
No clue about toxicity though.

Pantherina is not toxic. It's more potent than muscaria, but "edible".
