penis envy, or an albino, or albino penis envy.

otherwise, all psilocybe cubensis are pretty much the same when it comes to looks.

go with a pan cyan

easy to distinguish and your yields will be stonger =-)

I'm looking to challenge myself with an exotic strain grow.

I've been looking into Pans, P. mexicana and P. caerulescens, and P. tampanensis, maybe even P. cyanofriscosa. My goal is to find the most potent strain that is actually fruitable in home style laboratory conditions (unlike morels.) I did read the description on Pan Copes in TMC, though, and it said that they're not very potent. My understanding was that Pans were very potent, or is this just for the copelandia strain? And are there any other potent strains that would be feasible to cultivate?

Also, I would like to hear thoughts on the comparison of these species for these topics:

1.) Potency, obviously
2.) Ease of fruiting
3.) Relative yeild (amount wise)
4.) The overall best exotic in your opinion

And you also might be kind enough to throw in a couple parameters for the strain you reccomend.

P. cyanofriscosa are a species that you grow outside im pretty sure. pans and copes are the same thing. pan cyans are very potent and can be grown indoors but are a bit harder than o. cubensis. p. mexicanas i think are more potent than cubes but less potent than pans but i have no experiance with them. if it is your first grow stick with cubes. cubensis will give the best yield and pans will yield a fraction of that but will be much more potent. for your first exotic i suggest pans because thats what im doing =]

when a website says that a particular strain is particularly resistant to getting contam'd is that basically just BS?

Same thing with larger fruit or high yielding strains, are these claims usually legit or?

I'm looking at ordering from our friend Ralph.

thanks

Contams can only be avoided by following proper technique.

yield is largely influenced by proper cultivation and conditions.

At this point, you'll be inoculating with spores. The thing about spores is that you'll be inoculating with millions of spores (thats a lot of genetic diversity)!

It's kindof a lottery in a sense. Some jars may colonize faster, some slower. some will yield more, some less, etc.

Any psilocybe cubensis spore syringe from Ralph should serve you well!

I'm looking for this info specifically...

Ecuador are plenty potent and they can be large. Definitely a good choice. There is no reliable way to describe the trip other than to say it is a cube trip. Your experience may vary.

Both seem to be solid strains. Cambos have been quite popular from time to time.
