blood sugar level, i had no idea that mushrooms could effect that, got any more info?
No, mushrooms don't effect it.
The intensity of your trip is effected by your blood sugar level. A high blood sugar level causes the production of Insulin to reduce it, but unfortunately also reduces the alkaloids, such as Psilocybin in your organism.
Therefore it's not advised to eat for a few hours before the trip, so your BS level is as low as possible.

Insulin doesn't get the sugar out of your body, fahk.
Insulin is needed because sugar isn't absorb through the cell wall very efficiently. When the body detects high sugar levels it releases insulin to help ease the passing of the sugars into the cells to produce ATP, the energy that powers our bodies. Since insulin stays in the bloodstream for a decent amount of time, when we bnge on sugar and it's all been absorbed by our cells, the insulin still in our bloodstream causes us to feel hungry (for sugary foods) even when we truly aren't. This is the princible behind the South Beach Diet.
I've heard the blood sugar thing before, but only when insulins action was misrepresented. Insulin just doesn't flush things out of the system. Perhaps it does affect the high, but probably not by the mechanism you are reporting.

body builders use insulin to store crazy amounts of sugar so they can work out longer/ have more energy

Yep, I hope your not insinuating I'm wrong somehow.
They use it for the same reasons diabetics use it. When sugar isn't absorbed quickly, it gets stored as fat. For diabetics that can mean death due to the mitochondria not being able to produve ATP. For body builders that means that they get the most use out of their sugar intake, without the downside of storing unused sugar as unsightly body fat.
Hope this clears things up/abolishes the idea that insulin "cleans out" the body of alkoloids such as psilocyn.

I wasn't talking about insulin making sugar get out of he body! How should that happen?
As you said, Insulin causes the transport from blood sugar out of the blood plasma into the cells, to either use it to produce energy or to store it in form of Glycogen, for later use. It does the same with Alkaloids. To get them out of the blood system they are stored in our fat cells. At least a part of them. Normally a small amount of Psilocin is stored in our fat cells and isn't used at all. This amount seems to increase, after you raised your blood sugar level, due to the insulin and what it does in the body.

I just took what I read the wrong way apparently. I still don't know if what you're saying is true.
Is psilocyn fat soluble? Does insulin really bond to alkoloids, particularly psilocyn?
If you can, please provide sources. Thanks Fahk, I'm interested in this quite a bit.

Sorry, this is just the best thread for discussing things with intelligent shroomers. They're all gathered in one spot.
My Treasure Coast mushrooms are EXTREMELY skinny, and they don't really make up for it in height. They also are slow. My EQ's will haved flushed 3 times before the TC's have twice and the second pinset only had 4 mushies.
I'm very disappointed in this strain. And I'm back on topic.

I don't. Not with TC. The fruitbodies are very skinny and just kinda make me sad.
I didn't even take a biopsy to make a clone I was so disappointed.

Nope. Maybe you didn't see my monsters on BRF thread, but I got an LC of an Equador that grow to 112.6 grams on cased BRF.
I've also got an LC of Golden Teacher that I like alot and will be growing out within the next week.
I guess I just figure I'd rather spend my money on P. cyan's or albino penis envy's then buy a new syringe of shrooms I didn't like the first time.
