Lion's mane straw log problems
    #7954859 - 01/30/08 09:20 AM (16 years, 2 days ago)

I've been trying a couple times to get lions mane to grow on a straw log. The spawn never seems to recuperate and just sits there. I know my jars are fine and uncontaminated and they had already been fruiting invitro for a while.

Hericium really prefers wood based substrates. I've had limited success on straw, but sawdust/chips is superior.
