Politics is about compromise, my friend.
Nobody has a candidate they unequivocally love.
I wish Romney would have won.
I don't see Mccain as being nearly as beatable.

McCain worries me because he is adamant about spending this country into oblivion so that our troops can come home with "honor". I'm surprised the 100 years in Iraq thing doesn't bother more people. It's not that I am some antiwar liberal bleeding heart, but we just cannot afford it.

Good. I'd suggest you just skip the primary, and while you're at it skip the general election as well. If this is the best your party can do for you, why should you waste your time going to the polls for them? They're obviously taking your vote for granted. If enough of your friends and family stay home, the party will have to ask itself where it went wrong. THEN they'll take you seriously.

i live in pa. i will tell you right now we will not vote mccain. I poll my precinct in montgomery county (near philly) and the ron paul support is kind of surprising. i think the majority of registered republicans in my state see right through mccain and wont put in a vote for more troops in iraq.
plus, the democrats are on the same platform. hillary isnt leaving iraq anytime soon, and obama isn't saying anything about what he actually plans to do with our military.
political change is long and hard, even if ron paul doesn't win the nomination or election the message we support, he is popularizing. i hate to say something like a sports team fan and "wait for next year." but at least even if ron doesnt win you can say you voted for someone you actually wanted to get elected, regardless of who you think will win.
vote for a statesmen not a demagogue.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." -Al Einstein

Obama has repeatedly stated that he wants a timetable for withdrawl and wants all troops removed and all combat missions ended. He did admit troops would remain their for protection of the American embassy as well as other humanitarian efforts. He also admitted there would be a small number of troops remaining in case Al-Queda re-emerged as a threat. But he has stated all combat troops would be brought home.
This, in my thoughts, is an acceptable compromise compared to McCain/ Romney and Clintons plans to stay until we have "won"

The funny thing is, I have heard that argument used in all serious at least once in the last few days...

McCain's lack of a blimp pales in comparison to the Paulite's secret weapon: at Midnight before the primary vote, Ron Paul himself will slide down the chimney from his blimp and sprinkle Magic Fairy Dust [MFD] over the heads of each and every sleeping voter.
The next day they will vote en masse for him regardless of what the polls say now. Believe it.
