I wonder if these would work as injection ports for my spawn bags.

I've been having problems getting the RTV to stick to my spawn bags. I worked out a way to get it to stay but what a pain in the ass. I put a layer of micro pore tape down then put the RTV on that then put a layer of micro pore tape on top of that while it's still wet. It has to set for over a day etc but it sticks and that's the main thing. So that got me through these last few bags but going forward, screw that!
I just did a search on foam dots. I came up with these. The shipping is $10. I'm going to give them a try. I found rolls of these things by the thousands for like $43. I didn't check the shipping on that but I have no use for that many dots taking up space in my place. Anyhow hope this helps.

if your using bags, just inject at the very top, then roll it down real quick and clamp in place.

I thought about that. So do you mean to say you impulse seal the bags prior to pressure cooking them? That's what I've been doing and only had one with a hole so far. I think I have a solution to that so it won't happen again. When I fold the bag up I think I'm going to put tyvek between the folds. That should allow for vapors to escape the filter patch. We'll see I guess. I'll know tomorrow. I'm going to sterilize some coir+hpoo in a bag with a WBS well in each bag.

actually i don't impulse seal my bags i just fold them down to about an inch or two above the filter patch and then paper clip it in place.
ive never had a hole, you must be covering the patch, pressure excapes through it during pressure cooking

oh and if you use paper clips, i put a jar rack ontop of them
then after pcing make sure your cooker has reached zero psi, and then wait about another 20 minutes. otherwise when you open the cooker the bags expand and the clips come shooting off, or tearing the bag...you can also use wooden clothes pins and that will avoid the tearing part(if your not careful)
