dumb.. in the general election I'll be voting libertarian.
Why choose from among two flavors of the same rotten dip, when you can decline both and perhaps threaten the source that some of those apathetic americans do vote, and they don't constrain their choices to the arbitrary political corporattions at power nowadays.
Who are the Whigs going to run?

So you really believe there are not fundamental differences between the Republican and Democratic parties?
Really?

No. Anybody that does has been fooled by the system. There are certainly differences, but the differences are superficial rather than fundamental. Opposite sides of the same coin, so to speak.

One way to exemplify that..
IRAQ.
The Democrats won in 06 on the platform that they'd do everything they could to end the war in Iraq.
They haven't done JACK SHIT and why? Because they fear Bush might be right... if we DO pull out then Iraq WILL be a breeding ground for terrorists. They'll SAY they don't believe this and try to convince the public it isn't true... but that's the only reason they aren't trying right now.
They might now have the power to bring the troops home, but they've got the power to cut off funding right now and they're not doing it. They're slowly adopting the Republican ideology.

Nah; maybe a few of them think that, but mostly it is because of their common ties to pro-globalization groups.
> They're slowly adopting the Republican ideology
Neo-conservative ideology. It has been a long time since we have had a real republican as an honest contender for president. (By honest contender, I mean somebody with a real chance of winning, not honest as in truthful.)

Politics is pragmatism, and ideas have consequences.
I have alot more to say on this, but I'm busy at the moment.
Will give a long response when I get back...

No they didn't. They won because Republican voters were disgusted that the Republicans they elected turned into Democrats on spending.Quote:

No. It's because they know he IS right.Quote:

If they were to try to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory now they wouldn't win another election for decades. And they know it even if you don't.
