so, i searched around in google and the forums. i found out they are bad for mushroom cultivations.
i have little white mites in my cacti seedling trays, some random plant seedlings, etc. they stay in the substrate and there's quite a few of them.
are they harmful to seedlings or plants in general or just creepy?
i've been sparying neem oil solution, should it help?
i would take pics, but i have a bad camera and they are hard enough to see with the naked eye

A more thorough description would help alot.
There are many many types of small white mites that live on/around plants, i would doubt that any mites that affect fungi would affect plants and cacti directly.

Looks like you may have spider mites, pretty easy to get rid of.
My cacti are close to some rose bushes which are like Freddy Mercurys of the plant world (full of disease).
I commonly get scale, aphids, juvenile thrips (adults do not seem to like cacti) and a few mites.
If they are just on the soil and dont seem to spend much time on the plant then they are most likely not a pest but a hunter mite of similar, they kill most parasites which is a good thing.

now i remember i had those in my lophophora seedling tray for a year and it seems like no damage was done. i guess they aren't harmful then. just scared me to see them in many different trays/containers. some neem oil seems to have intimidated them. also i have noticed a spider and a ladybug in my little indoor greenhouse. i guess i'll have to try to keep the good bugs around.

Yea mate, predatory bugs are great. Except for ants, kill all the little fuckers you find - if you have aphids aswell.
Ants farm aphids basically, aphids suck your cacti's juice and make a nice sugary syrup out their ass which ants love to eat. Like any farmer they will attack threats to their livestock, ie mantis, ladybugs, spiders etc etc. Mantis, ladys and spiders are great to have around.
