to case or not to case
    #7950901 - 01/29/08 03:34 PM (16 years, 3 days ago)

Ok so iv been having some problem with trich lately, id have beautiful colonization and then trich would come right when knotting would start on the casing layer, its been getting me more times than not lately. So i took everything out of the fruiting chamber and bleached it all down. The problem is i have 5 hpoo cases going right now, they are all 100% colonized, 4 are starting to knott and 1 just started showing pins today. I was planning on late casing to get the best jump start on trich, but now im wondering should i even case it? It looks so beautiful right now and i just dont want to add a casing layer again and have the case fall to trich, some advice would be helpful thanks guys!

It may sound like a stupid question, but are you pasteurizing both your substrates and your casings? You especially need to pasteurize coir.
