Spore Law Situation
    #7950460 - 01/29/08 01:45 PM (16 years, 3 days ago)

I was reading on a site. Can't remember name, but it said legislatures were talking about the ban on mushroom spores containing psilocybin. I mean honestly i do not know the actual percentage, but i'd have to say only about 5% of spores are purchased for microscopic use. We all know where the rest go. So

What are the chances of spores being illegal?

What purpose do they serve being legal?

Can law makers use the Shroomery as evidence for the legal status of spores?

Ahhh i stand corrected. I meant spores that produce psilocybin mushrooms

I believe they're only illegal in California, Georgia, and Idaho, unless I've missed something.

this is correct. I was saying they are talking about making them illegal across the states

I'm sure Ps. Cubensis spores will become illegal nation-wide,
really it's only a matter of time. Will this stop
people from getting them, not a chance. What will probably go
down is the spores will become like pot seeds, banned for our use.

Although, making something illegal just drives the price up,
doesn't really stop anyone from procuring the product.

it was just an article. I dont know if it is authentic or not. Plus it was just talk. I have not found any hard evidence of this happening. Just a thought

  I've got my stockpile of them, I don't plan on buying any again.  Unless something goes horribly wrong and every last print I use becomes contaminated and they don't grow to make new ones... Then that would suck.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made them illegal sometime in the future though.  They'd still be pretty easy to get though so it wouldn't be THAT much of a tragedy.

It wouldn't surprise me if this happened. It won't accomplish the enforcement goal of curbing production, but it will give legislators something they can tell parents and voters that they did to make America a safer place for their children.

How would you like to donate them to the Shroom Empire Collection?
Just think, you'd feel charitable, and could renew your collection.
