So you've decided to grow outdoors because you live at home?
Given the questions you asked, your chances of success are slim. It would help if you could master PF cakes or casings before you tried spawning rye to straw outdoors in the winter...

Thank you Tahoe! I've always admired your thong-clad avatars as well!
Not to mention that you're one of five members posting information I accept as fact.

Thanks That is why i say it as matter of fact which also can be taken as being a dickhead. Well maybe i am a tad bit dickhead but it makes me laugh.

Are you searching the archives at all? There is tons of info here to be had and you are all over the place. Chips, straw ,chips. Have you picked a strain that will work in your region for an outdoor grow? Focus ,breath, search, plan ahead, search again. Good luck.:)

Outdoor grow ehhh? What part of the country do you live? I live in Michigan it's damn cold even in April. But I've already started my spawn. I 'nocked up a 5gallon bucket of pasteurized Hpoo compost with 6 pint grain jars, made a gas exchange port(just in case), I keep it in the basement at about 65 degrees. It's doing great. I just hope I can keep the growth slow enough. If not, I'll just go to a larger container and more substrate.
-------------------- Damn! I'm having fun! Just keep the GD monkeys away.
