Who knows, why don't you eat some and then see if you become normal...
Sorry, had to....
And I kind of doubt it. BTW, who knows what's going on inside the mind of someone that's mentally handicap. Maybe they see through the facades of existence and interact with the gears of existentialism on a daily basis and the trade off is just being les miserables.

I guess they'll just see their retardation and it will lead to severe depression.

i thikn if anything theyre already seeing the beauty in the world, retarded people generally seem happy, all the ones ive met anyway.
sometimes when i do shrooms i feel they are retarding me to a simple state of mind so i then see the beauty in everything, then only you have the power to integrate that into your life and keep it with you

my class in school had more than the average number of retards. they would sometimes run down the hallway and yell but they did seem pretty happy. i had a conversation with this kid with downsyndrome about pokemon and he couldn't stop smiling and laughing like the buddha
i swear...
i bet since mushrooms bring a normal person to a SUPER conscious state that they will bring a retarded person to at least a normal state. i would start out with a very low dose. any first hand stories?

if your living a life full of unfullfilling games then yes, otherwise self realisation/actualisation is the best thing ever!

I think you'd just have a retarded kid on shrooms.
But, I do believe that psychedellics can stretch the mind, allowing for unconventional thought. And, I don't think it's a total coincidence that many of the great civilizations of the past discovered and revered the enthogens such as psilocybin, mescaline, DMT, and LSA.

The word retarded is pretty disgusting, really. Someone with a mental impairment probably already sees the world in an incredibly detached way, and psychedelics almost definitely won't help.

Psychedelics have been tried on autistic children, not exactly on "retards" to the best of my knowledge.
As for blind people, it really depends for how long they have been blind. If they were from birth, then they won't "see" anything of course. If they've been blind for a short enough period of time, they might have reminiscent "visions", but the longer they've been blind, the less ability to "see" their brain will have kept. I guess blind people would simply have an alteration in the senses they usually use most, as well as in their mind processes, just like anybody else.
