In the interest of full disclosure, it's worth noting that the creator of this website is a Ron Paul supporter:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=100941
Which is obviously why Ron Paul is centered among the rest of the candidates, his green YES streak designed to stand out.

States would be able to decide gun laws.

Not 50 different countries. 50 different States. 50 different States, United under the Federal Government, with the Federal Government operating in a strict adherence to Amendment Ten.

Any law restricting the right to bear arms is unconstitutional and should repealed. Incomplete incorporation is bullshit.
Ron Paul is a near perfect candidate... it's too bad he's a dipshit when it comes to foreign policy.

I disagree. I think he's the biggest realist when it comes to foreign policy. Who else would or COULD change the world like he could? PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD have gatherings for Dr. Paul. In France, in Germany, other European countries, and elsewhere too! Dr. Paul is not only what America needs, he's what the world needs. He will set an example to the rest of the world's nations that people want to be free, get the government out of people's lives, and let them live!
To Coaster: I am against all forms of gun control. I agree with the 2nd Amendment in its broadest interpretations. My view is this: regardless of legal status, criminals will be able to obtain assault weapons and high powered weapons. Black market or Walmart. They will get it either way. Getting them illegally is NOT very hard... Actually it's probably EASIER since there's no background check, no taxes, etc.
So under a strict-Constitutional Federal gov't under Paul, Federally, the 2nd Amendment would probably be pretty broadly interpreted (Fed gov't may not interfere with an individual's right to bear arms). However, it is likely that the States will define that right more clearly. Example: Arizona has much looser gun laws than California. In California, assault weapons like an AK-47 are illegal. In Arizona, in semi-automatic configurations, they are legal. In CA, clips with over 10-round capacity are illegal. To my knowledge, there is no such law in AZ.
In the rare instances of heavy assault weapon use like the North Hollywood bank robbers: People with plans to do stuff like that don't get their guns from legitimate sources. The weapons they had were totally illegal (AK-47s with 100-round drums). That's from the black market. That shows that even if they're illegal, criminals will still get their hands on them! For that reason, I'm against gun control. In that situation, the cops had to go to the nearest gun shop to get more heavily armed! Now imagine if there had been assault weapons for sale in the gun shop that the cops could have used against them!

Interesting debate, tough subject.

I'll agree with convicted murders and violent criminals, but the spirit of the 2nd amendment is that the people should be able to defend themselves against an oppressive, overblown government. Municipal governments should provide a means for trustworthy people should be able to get their hands on stinger missiles.
More over, harsh gun laws won't stop people who are hell bent on going on a spree. They'll just get their battle rifles illegally (maybe it will be one of your friendly marine nut-jobs, who had it issued to him). Putting ex-cons in your military was a great idea, too. Good, rational, law abiding people won't be able to defend themselves. A truly free market will be the great equalizer.
It would even be kinda cool if massive gun battles break out amongst the population. Fuckin' Heavy Metal.
