If you wish to prevent condensation on the lids, stack your dishes normally, and place a mug of hot water on the top one. Condensation occurs when the temps are different that whats outside, and during the cooling process they are obviously hotter than the air, so letting them dry in a stack like that can help a lot.

The growth on that dish looks like mold, as does the two spots at 12 and 1 o'clock. RR

The stuff around the chunk of tissue in the middle is not mushroom mycelium. Cloned mushroom mycelium looks like this on a petri dish. RR

Absolutely 100% mold. Very clear picture though. Nice photography. RR

What are all the yellow globules around the edge of the mycelium? Are those just bits of oatmeal or potato? They look a lot like a very bad case of bacterial contamination to me.

this reminded me of an experiment i was itching to try....can you say deviled eggs?
injecting an egg with LC, tapeing, and then give back to hen for perfect incubation

A lot of the advantage of using agar in petri dishes is that it's clear, smooth, and undigestable by microorganisims.
That corn starch goo looks like a real PITA.
