Searching after cheap tequila brands they sold in Israel I found this little article here...

"In the last five years, the only distilled alcoholic beverages that did not suffer decreasing sales were tequila and Irish whiskey. In 1998, for example, Irish whiskey managed to sell as much as it did in the previous three years. During the same period the sales of tequila actually increased by nearly 6%. In fact, according to many observers, tequila has become so popular in recent years that it is now the worldwide beverage of choice among status conscious young professionals, university students and members of the bohenian set Visitors to pubs in Greece, Turkey, Israel and Lebanon can testify to the fact that tequila is as much the rage in the Eastern Mediterranean as it is in Europe and North America."

Notice... "in the last five years", maybe I had a really good impact in Israel, lol.  Last time I went to visit I saw everybody had begun to drink it, lol, way to go

I would just like to add that silver (clear) tequila is better for getting drunk and drinking fast, I dont like gold tequila so much as it has this spicey flavour that suits better for drinking slowly and savouring.

Anybody tried Tequila sunrise?  Good coctail drink, try it, I dont recognize the tequila in it so much, but its good and probably better than if they'd use vodka in it.

yeah man i buy the tequila with the little red hat ontop..
i had fun with that for ages when i was drunk, i drew a smiley face on my thumb and stuck the hat ontop..later on i poked holes on the side and put string through it and wore it on my head that night for a few hours, i just couldnt let go of that hat. it was too special.

even though its cheap tequila, it goes down fucking smooth. even your first shotty. first time i got drunk off half a bottle and it was heller happy drunk all night long.
at first i worried i was going to get a headache cos i never tried tequila b4 but i was FINE. woke up next morning fine and happy.

i want to buy a bottle with the worm in it, and eat it. havent seen any around here though, maybe i have to order. id like to try a tequila sunrise but dont know the recipe.. besides i bet the next time ill have tequila ill just want it straight.. so cool cos you dont even WANT to chase it down with anything, just more tequila. i actually drank it faster then i wanted to because it was so easy and i was happy..

yeah anyway.. TEQUILA FUCKING RULES!!!

I dont know the recipe for tequila sunrise either, but I think you have to buy these colored beads that dissolve into the drink to give it that rainbow sunrise colored effect...
I'm thinking about brewing my own tequila one day, and mastering the tequila coctails... its good knowledge for good parties, no?

the cordial sits at the bottom of the glass and it looks rather cool.
is that anything like a sunrise? or is it a margarita?
shit i dont even know what a margarita is  lol.

it was a pov way to make it though,
learnin tequila cocktails would be fun because you get to drink em after

a tequila sunrise is just equal parts orange juice and tequila with a splash grenadine for color

I'm not so sure about drinks but isnt what you explained a margarita, except for the splash of grenadine?  I dont think the splash of grenadine is what makes is a sunrise instead of margarita.  it tastes like there's more to it than orange juice, it tastes like candy:grin:!
Actually I'm pretty positive about this.

a margarita is tequila, sweat-n-sour mix, margarita mix, and crushed ice

and gredadine is basically just marshino cherry juice...so that's probably what makes it taste like candy

I'm personally a rum fan but liquor is good in many forms.

You totally left out a section on your poll for Liqueurs! Back before I could drink legally, I would grab a fifth of some schnapps and drink it in a night.

DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker schnapps is delicious and tastes like Jolly Ranchers.

And Rumple Minz is awesome. 100 proof peppermint schnapps that goes down smooth and will tear you up before you realize it.

There are lots of delicious drinks out there and it depends on my mood but I'll often choose rum over others.

You and the Cap'n make it happen.
