    #7946219 - 01/28/08 04:58 PM (16 years, 4 days ago)

Used some rye>HMC. Monotub obvioulsy and you can see the fan and heater being used. Sub depth is about 5" and there are nots everywhere.

First and second flushes

1st flush came out to about 13lbs wet. Will update dry weight in a few days. Here is first flush from 4 tubs

you should remove it because its wasting the cakes energy or nutrients. w/e u wana call it.

the veil seems to have broken some time ago. (which is when you are supposed to yank it off)

its not gaining a lot of psilocybin for energy its wasting.

remove it. pull and twist at the bottom close to the cake. if some of the cake gets removed, its fine.

Didn't sterilize it or the casing(no pasteurizing either). And you can see the type of room I work in. the only thing I did in this as well as all the fruit rooms I have done is wipe down the walls with bleach. My contam rate has always been low to non-existent. I find all that pasteurizing the casing stuff and cleaning your tubs a waste of time. That has always been my experience. these tubs usually yield abou6-10oz dry depending on the strain.

No growlog....I use rye spawned to HMC then mix that with about 50% coir and throw them in the tubs. I practice little to no cleanliness...dont disinfect anything and just mix straight tap water with the coir and then mix it with HMC and rye. Put wax paper on til fully colonized then case with 50/50 coir verm. Upon seeing first myc break thru, I patch...wait a few days and initiate pinning with 3-6 FAE/day and 12/12 light cycle. What you see are the results.

The tubs are in just a regular room with a space heater set to appropriate temps. No air filter or air cleaning system of any kind.

Definitely not selling them although the market around here would pay about 200/oz roughly. I just grow them then throw them away......ya right. We try to make a good amount in the months precedding Bonnaroo(although this yrs lineup sux) and other festivals and use them to barter. There's something oddly rewarding when you dont have to rely on $$ to get what you want at these festivals.
