About 70% of that information was true. If you are referring to the upside-down word altered, than haha.

There's still a lot that scientists don't know about the effects of Hallucinogens on the brain. Maybe someday you will make the next big discovery. <- and be a really smart scientist

Scientists who "study" psychedelics will never know the true nature of the thing unless they experience it firsthand. And none of them are dropping acid for the study. So, scientists....please shut up about the effects. Thanks.

Haha I love their description of marijuana...
"A bunch of leaves seems harmless, right? But think again. Marijuana has a chemical in it called tetrahydrocannabinol. A lot of other chemicals are found in marijuana too - about 400 of them, some of which may cause lung cancer. But THC is the main active ingredient.
For some people, smoking marijuana makes them feel good. Within minutes of inhaling, a user begins to feel "high," or filled with pleasant sensations. A chemical in marijuana, THC, triggers brain cells to release the chemical dopamine. Dopamine creates good feelings-for a short time.
THC is up to no good in the brain. THC finds brain cells, or neurons, with specific kinds of receptors called cannabinoid receptors. Then, it binds to these receptors.
Certain parts of the brain have high concentrations of cannabinoid receptors. These areas are: the hippocampus, the cerebellum, the basal ganglia, and the cerebral cortex."
Especially where it says that it's up to no good in the brain because it binds to receptors... uhhhhhhhh so?

I like this one...
Quote:
How Can I Tell if Someone I Know Is Using MDMA? Someone using MDMA may experience the following:
* Forgetfulness * Loss of coordination, dizziness, or fainting * Depression * Confusion * Sleep problems * Dental problems * Excessive thirst
You may notice that they own "rave" accessories, such as pacifiers and glow sticks.
But like someone else said, most of the actual information is accurate, it's just the funny ways they word things to make them sound scary.

hahahahahaha
Here's the thing: Once dopamine starts flowing, a user feels the urge to smoke marijuana again, and then again, and then again. Repeated use could lead to addiction, and addiction is a brain disease.
OH NO! YOU MEAN THIS COULD HAPPEN? Under the influence of marijuana, you could forget your best friend's phone number, watch your grade point average drop like a stone, or get into a car accident. Even worse, high doses of marijuana use can cause anxiety and panic attacks.
The list of negative effects goes on and on. Smoking marijuana may increase the risk of heart attack. Smoking marijuana may cause lung cancer because it has some of the same cancer-causing substances as tobacco. Plus, marijuana smokers tend to inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than cigarette smokers do. So more smoke enters the lungs. Puff for puff, smoking marijuana may increase the risk of cancer even more than smoking cigarettes does.
AND ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA
Moreover, the negative effects of marijuana smoke on the lungs will offset the helpfulness of smoked marijuana for some patients.
WHY ALL THE LIES!!!!!!!! also note, all the references are from . . . NIDA! god damn government.....

haha that's so ridiculous... when I read "THC is up to no good in the brain." it sounds like some soccer mom is lecturing a 12 year old why he shouldn't smoke pot.

Correct me if im wrong but doesn't THC react with a related chemical in the brain called Anandamide and that an over abundance from smoking mary jane isn't all that bad...isn't it cocaine and drugs of the sort that react on dopamine...that website fails
also, I've never heard ANYONE call marijuana "gangster"

6. In 2002 teens were using ecstasy ____________ than in 2001.
A. Less B. More C. About the same
Think again. The correct answer is: A. Less According to a recent Monitoring the Future study of teens in 8th, 10th, and 12th grades, use of ecstasy is less than in previous years.
You got 5 correct out of 6.

I love how it says "Think again" as if you're belief about the amount of people taking ecstasy from one year to another is dangerous or something.

Yeah, I know it said it because he got it wrong. I just thought it was funny that it said "think again", not just something like "incorrect", as if knowing that less people took ecstasy the following year is going to deter him from doing drugs. Like his wrong answer was dangerous.

Even a tiny speck of LSD can trigger these effects. And LSD has an unusual "echo." Many users have flashbacks -- sudden repetitions of their LSD experiences -- days or months after they stop using the drug.
A "speck" huh? Not exactly the scientific information one would hope for.

sudden repetitions of their LSD experiences
I'm suprised no-one mentioned he "flashback", or "sudden repetition" comment as well. Having many trips under my belt(starting 15 years ago) and not having had acid in several years, not once have I found this statement even resembling true for myself, and nor has anyone I have ever met had "sudden repetitions" of thier LSD experience...maybe there are times when we would liked to though! LOL
