I have not done that, nor would I suggest it. Here's why....as the bags heat up in the PC the moisture in the WBS or other spawn will expand, and the gas needs a place to go. I don't think the gas could escape out of the filter patch fast enough. This being said, the bag could expand and possibly clog the vent holes or pop. Just a theory. Just after the PC cools enough to touch it, I place the sealer on top of the PC and pull the top of the bag out just enough to seal it right there. I do this while wearing sterile gloves and a N95 mask.

True. That's how I do it. Lysol and bleach.

don't listen to this . Your bags should be fine. I've been using that method for YEARS now. Never once had a problem with a bag bursting or the vent valve being blocked.

As derx says, if you have common sense, you will be fine. Just be sure to separate the bags from themselves and the walls of the pc using excess jar lids . Then, when it's all loaded, I use a diner plate over the top of the bags to hold everything down. I've never melted or burst a bag. knock knock
